Level 0 Sports Trainers Course

Course Objective
This course will provide the participant with basic skills and knowledge in order to assist in injury prevention, taping, and to provide immediate first aid in the Australian sport and recreation community.

Content

Topics include:
• CPR (resuscitation) Made Easy
• Management of sports Injuries
• Skin Injuries (wound care/bleeding control)
• Taping – Ankles, Fingers, Thumbs
• R.I.C.E.R management
• Report writing (Documentation)

Duration
4 hours Full Course
2 hours Update Course (CPR update recommended by the Australian Resuscitation Council to be completed annually)

Assessment
Competency based and practical assessment.
Certification Validity
One (1) year
Course Accreditation
The course is nationally recognised through inclusion on the NTIS National Training Register.
