Wonder what was going through Maddison’s head sat at home watching that stodge, especially with Foden being outNice One Cyril wrote: ↑Sun Jun 12, 2022 5:51 pm How bloody awful is Southgate, negative and boring as batshit? Four at the back with two sitting is not the way to win anything, let alone a World Cup. It must drive Kane nuts playing with that lot, they're incapable of getting the ball to him, he had to drop into the centre circle to pick up the ball.

It's not good to see this, especially at home but at the end of the day they're just friendlies.
If we do drop a "division" then we should just pull out of the whole thing and play friendlies against worthwhile teams instead.

Re: Three Lions beaten in Budapest
They are a little bit more than friendlies but I don't think in a WC year this comp should be taking place. Southgates inability to change on the run is being found out but as the FA's lapdog manager his job will be safe.God is an Englishman wrote: ↑Wed Jun 15, 2022 9:51 ameagleboy wrote: ↑Wed Jun 15, 2022 8:38 am England 0-4 Hungary: Three Lions on verge of Nations League relegation

It's a pointless idea to begin with. Not throwing the toys out, it's just if you're not in the top group then it's even more pointless.C U Next Saturday wrote: ↑Wed Jun 15, 2022 1:02 pmSo England throw the toys out of the cot cos they get relegatedBomber wrote: ↑Wed Jun 15, 2022 12:33 pmWorthwhile teams? Re: Three Lions beaten in Budapest
Can picture a group with
Gibraltar
San Marino
Liechtenstein
England
Can England score a goal from open play in that group?
What if they get relegated from that.

Southgate is a walking cliché, full of excuses. I'm expecting Ron Benson and Tony Hedges to be picked in the next game

Have to Agree with mathew here, its a pointless comp unless you top the group!God is an Englishman wrote: ↑Wed Jun 15, 2022 1:07 pmIt's a pointless idea to begin with. Thankfully the English players are more concerned with taking the knee and protesting at the world cup.....
I wonder how many boos and shouts they will get in Qatar?
