Any true football fan would have to agree with that, regardless of which team you support. That was a class performance and perhaps he has found the maturity that has sadly been lacking. Also the return of the fans could have played a factor as top players love the adulation. If he finds consistency then United will be one hell of a force and one to be reckoned with.Nice One Cyril wrote: ↑Sun Aug 15, 2021 2:50 pm I'm not a United supporter and he can be a lazy shiraz sometimes, but when he's on his game and making an effort, Pogba is one hell of a footballer.

Re: EPL 21/22
as a united supporter, im not getting carried away....we beat them 6-2 at home last year as well.
Leeds is the only team that comes to Old Trafford and plays an expansive game....this is Bielsas philosophy!
every other team plays a low block, which we struggled against last year...i think we lost 6 games at home but were undefeated on the road where teams are likely to be more adventurous when playing at their home grounds.

I've watched most of the weekend's games and a good percentage of the interviews. It seems, win or lose, everyone is beaming and enjoying football again, it's just sooo good to have the fans back again, even the 'orrible Goons

Re: EPL 21/22
His insistence on crossing to nobody or ball watching for the killer 2nd goal notwithstanding, I will say that he wasn’t the worst. Though that being said Arteta has set the bar particularly low this yearthebeautifulgame wrote: ↑Sat Aug 14, 2021 9:58 amSaw the highlights this morning, first goal was a decent strike, second goal came from a long throw-in and nasty bounce which was headed in near the back post. Great start by Brentford and every point will help towards survival.
No doubt N5 1BH will inform us how bad Tierney was!

Romelu Lukaku (4) had twice as many shots as the entire Arsenal side combined in the first half (2).
He also had the same amount of shots on target (1) and scored more goals.

Re: EPL 21/22
How did he only have one on target, he scored one and Leno saved his header? Not sure how a 'top quality striker' misses from 4 yards out mind you. That's aside, he didn't impress me that much, looked like the same old Lukaku, I thought Reece James was their MOTM.

Fair enough about Reece James I suppose but with an honourable mention to our No.3 who went out of his way to afford him the time and space in which to work…….until he got his coat and left.

Re: EPL 21/22
Excellent news, they're a much better team with him in it and, as a bonus, all the Goonies are crying.
Without knowing the conversations between him and the Club, I can't really say what was or wasn't 'promised', but he obviously wanted to follow Kyle Walker to City, which I didn't blame him for, but their valuation and Levy's valuation never met in the middle. When you willingly sign a contract, you can't really moan if someone holds you to it.

Jorge Mendes (Christianos agent) is negotiating a 2 year deal at Manchester City-apparently 15 million euros per season. Will there be a mini Manchester civil war if deal is done?

I wonder what his issues were at Juve. He had 2 years left on his contract. Reports of a £15 mill transfer fee. Although 36 but that's peanuts for Ronny. I wonder what happens to a couple of their young forwards.haywood djablowme wrote: ↑Sat Aug 28, 2021 8:09 amCR7 turn right in Manchester, not left.. rolled into United now.eagleboy wrote: ↑Fri Aug 27, 2021 10:17 am United fans vent over Ronaldo agreeing personal terms with City

He'll find Italy very different to the EPL, despite the fact that he's as fit as a butcher's dog.

Fan left red-faced after BURNING Manchester United 'Ronaldo 7' shirt
A Manchester United supporter has been left embarrassed after burning a shirt with Cristiano Ronaldo's name on the back, hours before the Portuguese's sensational return to the club.
Many United fans were left livid as their former player seemed set to join rivals Manchester City from Juventus.
However, in a dramatic turn of events, City dropped out of the race on Friday allowing United to swoop in to re-sign their former star man in one of the most whirlwind days in transfer history.

Alright, I've waited as long as I can, but I have to mention the wonderful start Arsenal have made to the season. I know that sections of the Arsenal support have called for Arteta to be sacked, but he has my wholehearted support, along with the outstanding Xhaka.

Just watched the Wolves v United game. How the shiraz does Pogba get away with that tackle? How does VAR not overturn it, or at the very least, send the ref over to the monitor?
