England can breathe a sigh of relief that Russia didn't get through.

If they are poisoning their people for no reason at the moment imagine what would happen if England beat them on their home soil!

If I had to put money on it, I'd say France v England final. Then the poms to win on penalties.

Belgium to win 3rd/4th play off.

Given my tipping lately, there is still good hope for Croatia on this basis.

The correct one to support is your own.

England would of preferred to play Belgium in the final, the french will be a tougher assignment.

I still believe the POMS can win it though.

I thought Belgium performed well below their best, they would not be happy with that effort. Hazard was about the only one who could hold his head up.

We need to keep Modric quiet if we're going to beat Croatia I think.

France didn't let Belgium play well. They stifled their main attacking threats, gave them no space at all.

That's obviously part of it, but their problem wasn't up front per se, it was that the midfielders looked overawed and misplaced pass after pass, irrespective of whether they were under pressure. Chadli was truly awful, Dembele didn't play well, Boofhead ran around fouling people as usual and even KDB was well below par. Lukaku didn't have much to go on and looked horribly isolated up front.

Have to blame Martinez for that.

Boofhead was given a defensive duty on Pogba who didn't have much impact either.
Chadli should'nt have been taking corners and crosses. Mertens should've started. Not a good day for Martinez, but they didn't play bad overall.

Inexperience on the park cost England in the end. They should have put the game to bed in the first half. Good luck to Croatia in the final.

I agree, it was terrible. I mean a young side not expected to do well only got to the semi final.
