Re: NUWWFC Entering A Women's Club Into The JSL Boys League
Be careful what you ask for.
The best of the best girls from SA play in the two FFSA teams in the U12 and U15 leagues supported by high end FFSA coaches. They play in the moderate leagues and the girls are between 1-2 years older than the boys. This best of the best is competitive. If you are getting the next tier down of talented girls and playing against the same aged boys the standards will be way out of balance and the development outcomes will not be positive as the enjoyment will be squashed by uneven competition. An important key is a group of 14-16 players are required to compete not the 1,2 or 3 who are.
A couple of suggestions
A. Either get a dispensation to play down a year or two in the JSL
or
B. Go ahead and run your advanced football program then play your teams against older age break girls. ie your U11s v opposition U13s

So they want to enter a whole girls team into the boys JSL.
Hope FFSA veto that plan

We are looking at mawson lakes. Just waiting on confirmation.
The FFSA will not veto it as they are aware of my intentions and have no issues with placing a team in the boys league.

Re: NUWWFC Entering A Women's Club Into The JSL Boys League
So it's a 'privately' run development squad ?
Obviously it's open to all and sundry to join, but this appears to amount to a club specifically created to attract players who are either dissatisfied with the FFSA setup or system, but dont want to go back to female specific clubs. I'm sure this is going to please those clubs who may lose players to this venture along with players to the FFSA sides after the STIC competition.

I fully appreciate your comments.
However, this is not a privately run club. It is incorporated and will run under a committee.
I am sure the clubs will raise their standards to ensure they retain their players.
The Wildcats have identified that there needs to be more support for young players especially with the introduction of the new WNPL.
Therefore, the Wildcats will have the resources to assist the athletes into the future.
Wildcats have also have identified that Futsal is an important part of the development and will be incorporated in to the clubs development program.
Be aware, once the players have reached 17 years of age, they cannot play in the boys league and will be able to nominate a WNPL club of choice.
Re: NUWWFC Entering A Women's Club Into The JSL Boys League
NUWFFC wishes to advise that the FFSA have made a decision to decline our club entering the JSL Boys league in 2016.
NUWFFC is extremely disappointed with the outcome but respects their decision, but as a result the club have decided to cease operation.
Firstly, NUWFFC would like to thank all the players who had registered their interest with us and all those who made enquiries.
Secondly, NUWFFC would like to thank all the committee members for all their support and hard work in getting this far.
Finally, thanks must also go to the support staff for volunteering their professional services to support a great development initiative.
A big thank you must go to Andrew Zacharia from Physio fit.
Andrew is a Sports Physiotherapist who's main role is in Health & Fitness, Strength & Conditioning, Body Composition & Injury Prevention.
