Looking for a team at A-League/NPL - ex MCFC youth
Hi Guys
This is my first post on here.
I moved over from England a few months ago and I am looking for a football team.
Back home I played to a pretty high standard, I was at Manchester City as a youth, before joining Bolton. I was released and went to Bury which did not work out, so have played non-league ever since.
I am 20yrs old and would like to know whether anyone has any contacts at A-League or NPL clubs?
I used to have an agent but he does not know anyone in Australia.
I think it could be a good idea to join a coaching programme or something during the off season until I get a club in the coming months.
I hope someone can help me.
Thanks
Sam

Your best bet is trialling and signing for an NPL 1st team. Then, during preseason and the season shoot some footage of you playing and get into contact with a football agent like Keiran stapleton (adelaide), oracle sports management (melbourne) or fia sport management melbourne (melbourne) through facebook and give them the footage and ur details. Depending on their judgement and observations they will provide u with options.
Thats about all I can help you with. Good luck and hope to see you in the a-league soon.

Hi
Sorry for the delay, I am not sure where the talk of Adelaide has come from?
I am based in Western Sydney.
Can anyone assist with club contacts or even recommend an academy to go to whilst I am looking for a club?
Thanks

lol you're on a south australian football forum mate, might want to ask on the Wanderers or Sydney FC fan forums or something.
i was going to offer you a trial on my social 7-a-side team but looks like it's not to be.
Good luck

Let's hope there's no potential coaches reading this.
Great player, but no sense of direction.
Time for some righteous indignation

Oh right, apologies, I just thought this was an Australia-wide football forum.
Thanks anyway

Never apologise on this forum.
It's not the FootballNews style.

You could always try this guy: http://twitter.com/LloydOwusu
Works for Sydney FC and you might have mutual contacts.
