Skrtel getting away with more rugby tackles defending a corner. This guy is shocking at set pieces. If the football community can see it, surely the officials would be warned to watch

Another exciting game, luck seems to be going Liverpool's way as well, I hope they now go on and win it.
Not that it made any difference to the result, but did you see Andre Marriner's disgraceful decision near the end not to give a free kick when Sagbo flattened Snodgrass? Accidentally or not, a foul is a foul.

Sackho did foul lucky there. Turner had a few shocking tackles too. Nervy game. 3 points and a win vs Chelsea next week could give us the title if man city slip upNice One Cyril wrote:Another exciting game, luck seems to be going Liverpool's way as well, I hope they now go on and win it.

Intense stuff!!! One step closer but still 3 teams stand in our way. Knock off Chelsea next week and they are finished, a draw will make it very hard for them with 2 games remaining after next week. City probably a better chance than Chelsea with their games in hand but with tough away games to Palace and Everton it sets up an interesting 3 weeks ahead.
Re: Will Liverpool win this season's league title
Just goes to show how badly Arsenal missed the services of Ramsay after the xmas period. Sensational return last night.
Hull tried everything in their power to chop down any Arsenal player all over the park for the 90. Poor display from them. Even the clear cut penalties not given towards the gunners was a farce. Hope Huddlestone and Livermore play like that in the cup final. It will be a trouncing

Snodgrass was lucky to still be on the pitch. Nice square up for me.Nice One Cyril wrote:Another exciting game, luck seems to be going Liverpool's way as well, I hope they now go on and win it.

Still 3 tricky games to get through but kudos to Sterling who has stepped up a lot more lately. Could be a handy inclusion for the national team soon.

Let the mind games begin. Mourinho is certainly trying to put the onus back on the "club" for their results. Rest players at the weekend, lose, and it's all ok as they are getting ready for Wednesday night next week. Play full strength this weekend, but lose mid week and it will be because he was forced to play players on the weekend... the issue will arise for him if he loses both, regardless of what players he was "made" to play.
I hope the story is true and he gets his way for the weekend. There are people that say we would feel "better" if we can beat a full strength Chelsea... IF we win the league in two weeks, I couldn't give a crap about who did or didn't play for any of the teams any time we have beaten them this year!!!
Should have all the clubs petitioned the FA at the start of the year to get Suarez's ban removed so LFC could be at "full strength" at all times too? After what he has done this year, with reduced games, clubs will be asking for him to be exiled from England if he ever faces an FA panel again

Re: Will Liverpool win this season's league title
Mourinho is all me me me, he’s a reputation preservationist.
He’s getting the excuses ready from now.
Just like the farcical one about having no strikers but still deciding to send Lukaku on loan, spending 63m in the offseason then another 50m in January.
He’s clearly trying to play mind games, he’ll definitely name a strong team.
Only plus I see Schwazer in goals, 41 year old who doesn’t play. He’ll surely be rusty. All other “B team” players are still top quality.
Another gift like against Sunderland will be nice.
He's becoming more and more pathetic by the day.
Him and Utd are match made in heaven.

Should be a handy inclusion for the national team. If you pick the best players on form, he is definitely in the mix. Has had a fantastic season.Bomber wrote:Snodgrass was lucky to still be on the pitch. England starting 11 could be interesting . Potentially; G Johnson, Gerrard, Henderson, Sterling, Sturridge.... decent contingent!totsreds08 wrote:Should be a handy inclusion for the national team. Re: Will Liverpool win this season's league title
As much as Sterling has come on this year, he's still not ready to start for England in a WC (maybe game 3 of group if already qualified). He is still very raw, not consistent enough with his first touch and decision making. He also won't be playing along side Suarez, who a lot of people underestimate how much he sacrifices for the good of the team. Suarez's movement off the ball to create space for others is world class, and certainly miles ahead of Rooney's desires to do what's best for the team. I'd certainly take Sterling as part of the 23 man squad (like Owen 98, Walcott 06), but like Owen, I'd test him in the group games off the bench (and the game 3 scenario if possible), then reassess for round of 16. Johno, Stevie, Hendo and Studge all deserve to be in starting 11 based on current form. IF Rooney pulled his finger out, Studge and Rooney could form a very potent attack.

If Manchester City lose or draw one match in the last few matches, Liverpool win all the matches, Liverpool will win.
Or Manchester City will have the same scores with Liverpool but has advantages in goals

Wrong. If they finish on the same points, Man city will win it on goal difference. Goals for only count if goal difference is the same.Telson11 wrote:If Manchester City lose or draw one match in the last few matches, Liverpool win all the matches, Liverpool will win.

Theoretically they could finish level on points and Liverpool having a better goal difference. Unlikely, but not impossible.

Liverpool will need to make up 8 goals on city. We have to beat palace and Newcastle 8-0 to be safePíckle Flicker wrote:Theoretically they could finish level on points and Liverpool having a better goal difference. Unlikely, but not impossible.

If you can't protect a 3-0 lead you don't deserve to win. Just ask ac milan.

2nd Palace goal he was sauntering back from the set piece, their 3rd he was horribly indecisive.
