Prems Cup round 1

Post by juniorsupporter »

Any thoughts on the two sort-of upsets yesterday? U15's over Sturt and PHK over Metro? I didn't see the northern game but was at the U-15/Sturt game. Both sides missing players- I thought 15's played well and Sturt not so much. Anybody at the other game? Must have been a real nail-biter, going to penalties and all...

Someone correct me if I am wrong but I was led to believe that the U14/15 ntc squad had mainly older NTC squad players play sunday?? Unless they had lots of injuries, If I had a daughter in the younger Ntc squad and she did not get a game, because they wanted to play the older girls, I would be very disappointed and I am sure the girls that missed out would be disappointed also. Can someone clarify if this was the case??

the other result PHK defeating metro is a huge upset considering PHK had not won a game yet and Metro had not dropped a point yet. The beauty and unpredictability of Knock out cup football?

There were no overage (older than 1999) players in the U14/15 side against Sturt on Sunday.

The Older girls r no longer allowed to play down, Ross has told them, they should not of anyway extremely bad decision from FFSA when they have a reserve side, most of the girls not registered anyway that played, again ffsa make up there own rules as they go along.

Has there been any repercussions for a FFSA administered side knowingly playing unregistered players??? I know what would happen if that was a club side.

I don't know why the clubs who pay the FFSA to administer the competition and who have absolute control over the rules, didn't put up more of a fight when the FFSA decided to not only take their money, but the cream of their best young players and then compete against them in the same competitions, only for the FFSA to make up the rules to suit themselves as they go along.

And to rub salt in the wound, once they players are ready to return to their home clubs, often these players were 'directed' to go to a different club, after the FFSA promised that all would be done to encourage those players to return to their home clubs.

Am I being over sensitive or is this situation bordering on madness???
