Disappointing result but nothing to be ashamed about by any means. Should bounce back next weekend. Crows have a piss easy run, lets see how they go. Might win against GWS and Melbourne if they're lucky. Bulldogs and Saints will not be pushovers this season

I can only console myself with the fact that we should be getting some high draft picks this year. Can the Crows please take Gibbs off our hands!!Bomber wrote:Just a quick hello to all the Carlton people out there.

Carlton are looking awful at the moment. I think there are problems behind the scenes. Or maybe they are just tanking again

48k
shiiiteee...that's pretty good....only a handful of paid up members didn't turn up....must be saving their money for GF tickets...
I thought the crowd would've been closer to 36K.....which was what you guys were getting during your golden years....looks as if the move to Adl oval has paid off already...
sorry...forgot the blue writing.....

Oh no 48k was what crows got to their first ever Adelaide oval game. Whoops![]()
Don't worry about our crowd anyway. Our 36k makes 3x the noise that the 19th man makes![]()
sorry...forgot the blue writing.....

Re: AFL Season 2014 thread
Could say the same for Richmond, a goal a piece for the first three quarters and then managed to bang in quite a few for the last quarter. Had to laugh after they got their first for the fourth quarter and the commentator said that's a goal a piece for the first four quarters. How many more quarters was he expecting to follow?

We should probably go on a supplements program and inject our players with PED's. Sorry that's all I have gotBomber wrote:Bomber wrote:Just a quick hello to all the Carlton people out there.

It was extremely tough but we did the job. Very good win in our biggest test so far. Massive game next weekend vs geelong.Red-4-Life wrote:Well done Power, gutsy win on the road!!!

We're due to beat them and get revenge for the semi final. Will be a great game. Hope we get 45k through the gates and make it a fortress to get the boys home. Beat the Cats and I think top 4 prospects become a bit more realistic, still a long road ahead though.totsreds08 wrote:It was extremely tough but we did the job. Re: AFL Season 2014 thread
MRP are a bloody joke. Was a good bump but if the GWS gouy was injured in anyway then Douglas was never going to escape. How about Glass on Wingard? Only copping 1 week for a points carryover and then he cleaned up Schulz as well and that wasn't even looked at. This is how the MRP/tribunal decide punishments I reckon...

Re: AFL Season 2014 thread
I suppose the mrp reason was that it caused ward to be subbed out with a concussion. He wasn't chasing (jogging back) and while I think the bump was unnecessary, I didn't think it was illegal at the time. Thought he was safe until I heard ward got subbed out and then I knew Douglas was in strife. The mrp base their findings on injuries sustained. Glass was late and off the ground. He has a bad record and only got 1 week. Glass incident was so much worse than Douglas'. It's piss!MegaBonus wrote:can anyone tell me which rule Douglas broke in order to cop a 2 game ban???

Re: AFL Season 2014 thread
It aint the same game any more. The biff used to be what separated this game from the rest. Forget that now. The round ball game is slowly closing in

It was about 7-8 metres away.
Still didn't deserve a ban.
Re: AFL Season 2014 thread
I was actually in line with incident in the Western stand (looked awesome in real time). Definitely more than 5 metres away.. and it was an unnecessary bump, i.e. Ward was barely chasing the player in possession and Douglas was coming off the ground. But worse than Glass?? Absolutely no way... if Byron Pickett played the game today he would be banned for life.Bacon888 wrote:MegaBonus wrote:can anyone tell me which rule Douglas broke in order to cop a 2 game ban???

Re: AFL Season 2014 thread
so from everything that's been said....its not the type nor the ferocity of the contact but the injury caused that lead to the suspension...the bump was either legal or illegal regardless of the injury caused....
