Pretty much business as usual...cash flow good, no fee changes for 2015...trying to implement online registrations...same Adidas match balls as last season (2 year deal) but cheaper this year and 1 free ball per registered team...Pre-season Cup scrapped but may be revamped possibly utilising existing regional pre-season competitions (Salisbury, Playford, Southern and others)to qualify (work in progress)...emphasis on Clubs doing the right thing by injured players with accident fund claims..SAASL office closed until January 22....Bill Bailey found out which Club bloodypassit as with this year....Florina's homebrew...Jaywalker's absence...

Nick Swann appointed official historian for SAASL by Alex & co, this was then applauded by all present. :D

so no sanctions or warnings to certain clubs after the problems of the last two seasons to ensure that it does not happen again. :?: :?: :?: :?:

Did the champions of their respective divisions receive free kit as stated at last years AGM? If so are they
doing it again?

Did representatives from the clubs in those divisions raise the issue?

You forgot 2 other items 1. Gardens Double/Double acheivement & more importantly 2. Your appointment as SAASL Historian & no doubt you will enjoy documeting the history making season of 2013

Another item that was discussed after the AGM was an SAASL team(s) playing in a 50th year celebration game(s). Personally I would like to see a Saturday vs Sunday select team playing each other & it could also include an U23 Rep side playing against another amateur region. These games can either be played together or seperately over Easter or the June long weekend. Would be interested to hear other peoples thoughts & ideas.

excellent idea lefty. a showcase game and an opportunity for the younger players in the competition to show the current strength of the SAASL

well its been 3 weeks and no response to my query about violence and match fixing by certain clubs from the league itself. so we can all assume that nothing positive will be done before the season starts and normal clubs will again have to put up with the same kraaaap. situation normal. chickenowski and co have successfully administered the amateur league over 40 years to my knowledge so one wonders why they are obviously prepared to put up with them and turn a blind eye to what went on last season with no change on the horizon for the season ahead. as usual,i suppose,it all comes down to the dollar again. it would be interesting to know just how much chickenowski and co actualy get from the govt to put up with them. one can only assume it must be considerable since they seem to be willing to jepardise the standing of the league for it. finaly,it is well known that the league has a war chest of over a million dallars of normal clubs money that clubs cant get access to. perhaps it will take some poor bugger to die from injuries sustained on the field or sidelines next season to make the league wake up to its self. PREVENTION IS FAR FAR BETTER THAN CURE.
