Gleeson vs Vipers - Gleeson have had some bad results of late, hoping they have 1 more this week. :D
Jets vs Eagles - this could be a footy score if Eagles don't turn up, Jets by a lot.
Villa vs Monarchs- Villa should pop a few here for an easy win
Stirling vs Cougers - Think Cougers will fire up and may get a draw at the very least.
Breakers vs Pumas- Small , narrow ground will suit Pumas, think they will end Breakers year by a goal.

How do you gather that? if Stirling happens to win against Jets in their catch up game they are above them. Cougers above Vipers as well. Stirling got an easier run home now then Jets and Cougers. On today's performance from some Vipers we would be Div 2 next year as well.

Too tight at the top....No one can pick who will go up at this point...The only ones that are guaranteed in my opinion are Cougars as they keep pinching the close wins...sign of a good side and the rest of us are chasing them.

Don't worry about Cougers Steve if they keep winning and Vipers do to, last game of the season will be a Grand Final

And we got a few big game players I need to tell you about 8)

Let's just hope the Vipers don't struggle to beat the bottom 2 teams as much as they did against Gleeson today. F u c k i n five yellow rule is bullshit

Just predicting/hoping that if Jets beat Cougars they will have no difficulty in beating Stirling.
Was very impressed with the Jets.. they had 4 first team players out and still gave us lots of grief.

And what you are also predicting is that you will beat us last round... So what you are predicting is that a team that has lost 1 game all year will lose at least 2 of the next 3?? Good luck with that  We will be trying our hardest to prove you wrong champ  I'd be focusing more on your own team, only beating Gleeson by a goal and yes, Matteo scoring both.... Again. Same story every week. Who's gonna score next week seeing that he's suspended with his 5 yellow cards??

Who did you lose that one game to mate...

If you have a striker that is in the form he is it's only natural to get the ball to him....You've been around the game long enough to understand that.....I can remember a couple of years back you had a gun player at your place and you were crowing about promotion on the back of him......It is what it is and memories seem short

I think it's really to hard to argue over at this point fellas. I think we've all seen that given how close the league has been this season, anything can still happen. Without stating the obvious, some big season defining matches ahead (highlighted below).

Round 16 - SAT DIV 2 A Date: 24/08/2013
Home Team Away Team

ADEL PUMAS STIRLING
COUGARS SALS VILLA - Big game for us, and if we can sneak a win, we just may still be in with a chance of promotion.
MONARCHS MOD JETS
REDBLUE EAGLES VIPERS
STHN BREAKERS GLEESON

Round 17 - SAT DIV 2 A Date: 31/08/2013
Home Team Away Team

GLEESON REDBLUE EAGLES
VIPERS MONARCHS
MOD JETS COUGARS
SALS VILLA ADEL PUMAS
STIRLING STHN BREAKERS

Round 18 - SAT DIV 2 A Date: 7/09/2013
Home Team Away Team

GLEESON STIRLING
STHN BREAKERS SALS VILLA
ADEL PUMAS MOD JETS
COUGARS VIPERS
MONARCHS REDBLUE EAGLES

Gleeson, Pumas, and Breakers have all proven that they can get a result as the under dog, so still maybe some tough games ahead for all, and no sure wins in the final few rounds for the top 4. Again, I think it will come down to the final round. Not sure if anyone can be bothered (I can't), but you could maybe try to predict the top two based on predicted results according to form and previous results.

Yes, I was predicting we will beat the Cougars last game. We can do it, and it's not like we'll bend over and let you win just because you're trying your hardest - there will be a second team on the other side of the pitch and we'll be up for it! Here's hoping you have to keep in goals for the Cougars last game... I'd put my money on us just quietly... :P
Do you really think us beating Gleeson by a goal is any indication of who the better team was? You beat Monarchs and Pumas by only a goal in the last month... both are teams that we smashed (Pumas twice, and Monarchs once). I still don't think Cougars are a crap team or that Pumas and Monarchs are decent teams. :)
As for Matteo scoring all our goals, fancy that - a striker scoring goals. Personally, it's something I'd expect to see with a team playing only one striker who, as it happens, doesn't normally need more than one or two chances at goal. But, perhaps it's time you took some of your own advice and worried about your own team.
Let's just hope Matteo doesn't sit out the last game as you blokes are getting way too chummy with him... time to get off your knees, he'll come out to Cougars if he wants to.

 me play in goals?? God help the Cougars if that's the case.... I hope round 18 is a championship defining game!!! I'd like to see both of our teams secure promotion before round 18, and the go hell for leather last game of the year, and what's better than a passionate western suburbs derby at the Cougar Cave!!!!

Fair points you make mate. Scoring 28 goals out of a possible team tally of 39 goals for the season makes your quote about Matteo a liiiiiiitle bit of an understatement though  I wouldn't say the guys just "in form", he's absolutely killing it!!! Next best striker is 20 goals behind him. Hopefully someone else steps up for you next round.

No doubt a worry as the boys are used to giving it to him to work his magic....Saw the result when he didn't play against Salisbury as no one wanted to shoot on the numerous occasions that were presented.
This is where the coaches need to earn their money and get the guys at the right mind set to shoot when in range. You can take it from me we have the players that can do it, whether they come through is out of my control unfortunately.

Exactly! Even on the weekend when we had player break through virtually one on one with the keeper, only to lay the ball off to the side to Matteo who had a defender on his back and got dispossessed... just gotta shoot. Let's hope we break the shackles before the last game :D

I've scored 30 of the 39 goals mate
SAASL goal tally is a little behind, no striker likes to get short changed. :D

Got NO doubt that the boys will lift against Red Blue Eagles and get the win for me, as for the weekend against Gleeson it was good to see a few of the other boys in the team pull the trigger from around the box. I too hope that both teams get to the last game of the season with the Championship on the line considering we don't play finals that will be a GF. Should be a BIG CROWD HOPEFULLY

Mean no disrespect from my above comments lads, I think you guys are a exceptional team, the results speak for themselves. Your club has performed amazingly on and off the field and credit goes to all of you. Your club deserves promotion, and just hope we are the club that goes up with you. A round 18 showdown would be a treat!

No coincidence at all, You get 5 yellow cards you miss a game 2 weeks after the day you get it because SAASL are slow dealing out any suspension, should really be the following week if they were up to date.
5 yellow cards none for any tackles

So basically, all avoidable bookings. Shame on you, I'd never do anything like that. Hang your head in shame you've let Steve#4 down, you've let the club down and you've let yourself down.
