Not sure of his name but the guy who is more worried about the colour of people's bike shorts than what actually occurs on the field is terrible. 1/10

Is this the ex Salisbury inter player now official ref Leon? If so I agree. Had him run the line in a cup game and did a great job. Have heard lots of other positive comments regarding him as an official.

Yeah Leon was always good when he did the C's at Ingle Farm but I'm sure he is now an official official. :D

Correct, Leon notified the club he wished to persue official referee status. He has all the makings of a quality ref and the club wished Leon well. I only hope there are more people out there like Leon and the league fast track people like him to the top divisions as quickly as possible.

By far the worst ref is Jeff McCormack, our A-Grade coach at Florina.

Always calls the game fairly and never cheats - wtf is with that!

He's a great coach but a crap C-grade ref...

Not sure if he's still around but last time I saw him he was a definite 1/10! Absolute shocker!

All I can say is, it's great having 'official' referees for Division 2 Reserves this year, we did however have one 'club' referee against PHE - he was excellent though so all good

The worst I have ever seen for blatant cheating was an older guy and past player from Salisbury Florina . He used to ref some reserves games and believe me you ain't seen anything like this guy.

Sorry Steve, but Viper's reserves club ref is terrible. Has been for years.

Not a cheat and not a bad bloke (spoken with him after a game), but just has no idea. I remember even the Viper boys getting annoyed by some of the shocking calls he called against his own club. Not an easy job so can't slam him too much.

Second would be our club refs  . In the spirit of trying to be fair and not seen as cheats, they tend to be too bias against us. Fair to say they all hate me for the sledging I give them for it. If you're reading this, yes you John! But, refer to last sentence of paragraph above.

Sorry Jogger not this week mate, I've made my cameo's twice this year as the knees can only take 2 games of running around the centre circle.

Cheers Doc, I try and be as fair as I can and let the game flow. As I said to you guys before the game "I'm not a professional and I call the game as I see it, if I was an official I wouldn't be refereeing Div 6 Sunday amateurs".

Don't think that Killie jibe went un-noticed either.

It must hurt being a Celtic fan and playing for a club that wears Rangers colours?

I would back his knowledge of the rules over many players, some of the calls/so called rules I have heard over the years have been laughable. It's so funny hearing teams squeal like stuck pigs over calls that they pluck from god knows where

The teams that complain and whinge the most usually are the ones that have the issue with him as he is the most stubborn person I have met. The harder teams push the more he digs his feet in and will not change his mindset and so he cops the abuse.

It's all opinion in the end I look forward to seeing how non bias your ref is after that glowing report.. :D

He's pretty bad but far from the worst I've seen. Definitely needs a louder whistle when the juniors are playing and no idea what the penalty he gave on Saturday was for. Saved it anyway so ended up a non-issue. He's definitely made some dodgy calls though.

Missed the Sals Villa game with injury so can't comment on that one.

Southern Breakers' ref was pretty decent out of what I've seen this year. Monarchs' was okay, certainly much better than last year. Gleeson's players had more problem with their ref than we did when we played them.

You'll love our refs Steve

Like I said mate, can't complain too much when they have a crack, and at the end of the day, it is a dirty job.....

One moment during our game that still makes me laugh, is when our central defender clearly headed the ball over the crossbar for a Viper's corner. Our defender didn't have a man within a 5 meter radius of him at the time. Both teams walked towards our goal, and we started manning up in anticipation of a Viper's corner. He then confusingly blew his whistle and called for a goal kick. Your guys went off their tree at him, and I nearly joined in such was my confusion at what was happening. I then had a nice chuckle at your poor teams expense, when I finally realised what the f#@k was going on.

He's definitely a character.
