Brendan Rogers
After his assimilation to Scouse-ness last week when he announced that Liverpool will be challenging next season, something all red scousers have been saying for the last 20 years, BR has come up with another one (taken from BBC)
Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers, 40, says he is only interested in bringing "winners" to Anfield this summer.
Does this mean that he and previous managers have been interested in bringing in losers up to now?

"In order to breed the consistency needed to give us success, we need to bring in winners - those with the winning mentality," the 40-year-old told Liverpool's official website, liverpoolfc.com.

Sounds pretty familiar too.

There is alot more chance of Wenger spending big this year than Liverpool challenging for the title

Re: Brendan Rogers
I don't see much wrong with what he said.
ALL managers at all levels need to be positive. I would have loved to have won a trophy recently.
Wenger will do it I know, but sadly Liverpool have won more than us (only last year), we can't knock them on that count.

Im not sure what fans you speak too? All "true" fans understand that not winning trophies is unacceptable. But for the 100th time, coming fourth and trophyless is alot better than coming 5th and trophyless.
Stop getting your knickers in a knot.

Any reason why you have misquoted me? I didn't say what you said I did.
I don't have anything in a knot, I think you have.
And I consider myself a true fan, been watching The Arsenal for many years, too many I think, it shows my age.

Re: Brendan Rogers
Mr Wenger won nothing as a player.
Mr Benitez won nothing as a player
MR Mourinho won nothing as a player
MR Ferguson won nothing as a player
The last x England managers won nothing as players.
The list is endless.
Why can't managers sign players better than they were?

No, he played a few games in their winning season but has gone on as record as saying he dindt feel part of the tela that won the league.
As for Mackem Lad's list, they are going back a bit. I was thinking latest managers.
Hodgson
McLaren
Sven
I am usnsure how good Capello was

Re: Brendan Rogers
Here's a thought......maybe Rodgers lack of winning credentials as a player/manager/trainer/u10s coach is exactly why he wants players who are winners in the squad?
Re: Brendan Rogers
He was still in that team and that team won the league, there for he has won something.

Laurel,
I didnt really misquote you, your quote was insinuating that Arsenal fans should not be happy with just beating Spurs or coming 4th. I mearly pointed out that most of us are not happy with this and that 4th spot is better than 5th spot..........alot better
