I would imagine it's human nature to get out the way of something thrown at you. One can be excuses, a 2nd can't.

He should have taken the hit and grounded his bat.

so, he is a coward!!!

What part are you struggling with?

He's done it once, it's human nature to get out of the way of something about to hit you.

it was a natural reaction yes but being a batsman he should firstly be thinking about protecting his stumps, thats why when they take a quick single they run between the fielder with the ball and the stumps

this is why its a fair wicket

Pretty unlucky really. Deserved the 200 imo. I wouldn't have recalled him. Its a bit like those unlucky ones when the batsman hits the ball down the ground, bowler get a finger tip to it, hits the wicket and the batsman backing up is run out.

Keep telling yourself that.
People are funny. They buy things they don't need with money they don't have to impress people they don't like.

natural instinct is to protect your wicket at all costs... fatigue, i think is responsible for the brain fade by Cook.

he looked pretty embarrassed... but never a re-call situation.

so, by ur theory, would u move away from an incoming cross in the goal area to head the ball and win the game?
even if it was travelling towards ur head and a fast pace???

Time to think about that one, human nature doesn't come in to it.

Not quite the same i agree, but Cook did have time to make a decision, he just made the wrong choice.

Should always protect his wicket, even if it means copping one.

Have you and Hawksey come to some arrangement during his planned absence?
