We were told that the date we're aiming for in our catch-up with you is the 26th.
Ok Hadn't heard anything about that yet.. Will speak to the committe about it.

Now just need Compass to confirm their game lol

I've been approached by a division 4 side and asked to fill in for them this week as they're short.

I won't name the team but rest assured I declined.

When are parafield going to play their catch up games? Word is they don't want to play weeknights and they won't be able to drop players from Sunday teams to fill in regardless of when it will be played, so why not get them over with before everyone loses interest?

Parafield catch up games;
Away-One Tree Hill
Away-Nth Pitbulls
Away-Torrens Valley

28. ABANDONED AND POSTPONED FIXTURES
(c) Matches abandoned or postponed because of inclement weather, bad ground
conditions or other causes not involving violence or disturbance shall be replayed at
a time and place specified by the League.

(g) Any match which was required to be replayed under the provisions of either subclause(c)
or sub-clause (e), above, and which have not been replayed by the end of
the League’s normal programme, shall not be replayed unless:
(i) first or second place of either of the teams concerned or of any other team in that
division may be affected by the result, or;
(ii) the relegation of either both of the teams concerned or of any other team in that
division would be affected by the result, or;
(iii) the right of either or both of the teams involved or any team or teams in that
division to participate in any competition or in any re-organisation (where that right
is determined be the precedence of a team in the League championship ladder) may
be affected by the result

Now if you are Clever Trevor you can work out the answer.

Last year the league promoted/invited three teams from Div 4 to Div 3.
Given the uncertainty around the make of next year's divisions, I would interpret (iii) as that the fixtures must be played because the result may affect the ladder position of all of the three teams mentioned and the resulting rank may factor into the re-organisation of the 2013 season.

Trying to scrape together enough players to fulfill a midweek fixture :roll: . Will get back to you (Liam?) asap. Sorry for the delay. I think most guys are losing interest fast given all other divisions are now complete (and mates are out on the pi$$ all weekend) :mrgreen: .

I think you will find looking at the current league ladder & depending on the result between OTH & Flinders this week the only game the SAASL will want played is the Mt Compass vs Flinders catch up game all other will have no bearing on promotion or relegation.

Looking forward to this weekends game & catching up with our Sth American Pitbull brothers hopefully with no Sunday games we will see a few lads down to watch the A's & B's. Just remember we have all of our Sunday players available so no ring ins :wink:

Bloody hell! Shockeroonie! Us & flinders thought promotion was gone after our draw today, but we both still have a chance, i think the game today was brilliant , two team slogging it out trying to keep in the hunt for promotion, by far the best quality game ive played in this season, 2 teams wanting it bad with some tremendous goals from both sides!!!

I had to leave before half time and it was already 4 - 3 :lol:

Some great goals though, a couple of net busters by OTH and a great free kick from Flinders.

An absulte shocking day 4 us.
B's got forfeited 9.30pm Friday night.
So we just played the A's at 3pm
PG brought there Sunday C's and B's down 4 this game and our boys never showed up to play.

NPFC went up 1-0 early but with 10 to go pg got and penalty and then took the lead with a few min left.
Late drama with The ref pointing to the spot and awarding a penalty 4 NPFC. Only 4 one of the young lads to step up and hit the bar.

Game finishing
PG 2 NPFC 1

Consistency and injurys have really hurt us this year.

I was under the impression that PG have forfeited all of their reserves fixtures for the rest of the season?

Parafield Gardens must be just playing their reserves games to keep their opposition happy. Surely they can't be playing for points as they have already told the league they forfeited the remaining of the season. Unless its now ok to tell the league your doing one thing and then do the opposite :roll:

So exactly which Parafeild Gardens team was it?

Was it their Sunday team or their Saturday Bhutanese team?

How many of the original players are left In this team..?

Withholding the poor behaviour of some players and spectators, Pitbulls offer a lot to the competition and have a lot of quality on the pitch and there is no way that the normal Parafield Gardens Saturday team would get close to them. I think the 2-1 result gives you the answer.

Given that PG will not play the catch up games, there is no mathematical chance that OTH will finish second. I would also put us as underdogs going into the match against TV this week.
