I completely agree, spitting should not be tolerated. Both alleged incidents in our game on the weekend were not witnessed by the referee (or he just couldn't be bothered acting on them). I personally saw the first incident however when a Mt Compass player turned and faced our full back and spat directly at him. He argued that he was spitting dirt from his mouth which I would understand, however any normal person would not turn and face an opposition player standing next to them and spit in their direction.

I can't comment on the allegations against our player as I was at the other end of the park. However all our players have been spoken to and warned that this kind of behaviour will not be tolerated and will result in club enforced suspensions.
Can you PM me the details of what you saw in order that we can deal with it? Thanks.

At the time of my previous comment I was unaware of the alledged spitting incident by our player hence the 'whining' comment. This has been dealt with internally, there is no place for that type of behaviour.
I retract my comment mate. :D

Its getting interesting for that 2nd promotion spot with 5 rounds to go plus some catch up games, would have to say Flinders in the driving seat with 2 catch up games & Torrens Valley still have a slim chance, exciting stuff, could go down to the last round!!!!

FLINDERS- USC Lion(a), Adl Uni(h), OTH(a), Gardens(h), Pitbulls(a), Catch Ups- Adl Uni (a), Mt Compass(a)

I'm confident that Flinders 2 will not be promoted given that their Div 3 side need to win its last two games and rely on other results to be promoted to Div 2, and they have said before that they don't want two teams in the same division.

could go down to the last round!!!!
Pity the league couldn't making a ruling that all catch up games need to be played before the last round, so we know where everyone stands.

What happens if the game is called off in the last week, it's a regional amatuer division not the premier league you know!!

I've played in higher divisions than this and had some teams finishing a month before the last team finishes. It's amateur football, we're not good enough to play for a 0-0.

But does anybody know whats happening with promotion from div 3 to div 2 as 2 is currently 9 teams, if they put 3 up flinders still have a good chance to go up, but some say its 2 up 1 down?

It will depend on what happens with Div 1 and 2 because there was talk of the Amateur League offer spots to FFSA teams.

Hazara finished fourth in Div 4 last year and were invited up to Div 3 because USC Lion dropped from 2 to 6 then to 4, I recall.

A's OTH 4-6 Pitbulls
B's OTH 10- 1 Pitbulls,

A's 6-2 down half time, 2nd week in a row where we have only played 45minutes, but the damage was too big from the first half this time, probably blown our promotion hopes now, well done pitbulls, they wanted way more in the first half.

A's - Compass 2 -1 Greenock

Compass went 1 up early on and should have made more of their first half possession and chances. Greenock had a man sent-off (didn't see it, dunno why) and lost their way for a while, but equalised from a penalty. Compass pressed hard, but never looked like the side they were early in the season. A last minute mis-hit secured all three points in the last minute.

Fair play to the Greenock lads who came down, and fought to the end.

A massive game at headquarters , fought hard and well by both teams

USC 4-3 Flinders.. Flinders down 3-0 at half time got back to 3-3 before pace and some class put us behind again.

Need to win our catch up games now! :(

B's USC 0-2 Flinders

Should have been more to Flinders but didn't finish our chances.

Was a good footballing day all round and much respect to USC and the way they played.

I assume we get awarded a 2-0 or whatever, considering their b's have bit the dust.

Who are playing for their A's? The Bhutanese lads or the new team?

They were all Bhutanese. Think there was some in the team that were about last time we played them.

I would say no. As it was something we rejected at the beginning of this season. However as I am not on the committee the final decision would rest with them.

As always I don't think we are going to know who is going to be in which division until next year! :?

It is in the League Rules that prohibits two teams in the same division from the same club... but they do make exceptions in the bottom reserves league.

Spoils the integrity of the competition when we don't all play the same group of players.

surely 3 sides from div 3 go up ? means 3 from div 4 will go up ? ( if things stay as they are...eg clubs dont fold or move to Collegiate league etc )if that is the case you guys have a good chance of a double promotion.
