We look to different methods for training such as indoor facilities, aqua aeorbics etc. Works quite well, training numbers are sustained and it gets everyone together.

Well, we're only 800 metres from the beach ( just happens to be a sewerage treatment plant between us and the beach...but heh, you can walk around it.).

Spare a thought for the four teams of kids that played a full game in the twilight high school comp and then had to go to FFSA and SAASL training - don't think it stopped raining the whole time.
Time for some righteous indignation

To all of those players that peered out the window and decided not to train because of the weather but cited "soreness" or "I've got a cough" as an excuse, you're weak as piss and you let your team mates down!! We play a winter sport get out there and get amongst it

Personally, there's nothing better then playing/training in the wet. However, clubs need to consider preserving their playing surface. Training on it 4x per week (men & women) in these conditions borders on negligence.

I hear an FFSA 1st Team didn't train due to the conditions.

I had my entire women's squad show up for training last night without a single complaint when it poured all night.

And I only have 2 butch ones.

Why wouldn't you want to train in the conditions you will be faced with come match day? The more attendees you get in the wet the greater the edge you will have on the weekend?

If you play in it you should train in it, its as simple as that.

If people aren't training because of the wet its up to them, but at the end of the day they are just cheating themselves.
