Post by Derek »

According to BBC Arsenal have signed German international Lucas Podolski. Good player, 16 goals in 22 games so far this season. Keep buying please Wenger.

Podolski is a great signing but the gunners can't afford to lose Rvp

Am i the only one that thinks Podolski's overrated? Watching him for Germany in the world cup was cringeworthy, very selfish player when playing for the national side.

He doesn't even aim, he smacks it and hopes for the best.

Average signing.

I tend to agree.
Evidently he has a touch of the Bentners around him in the dressing room too.

No.

DOC is correct, at the end of the day players like van Persie don't want cash they want titles. This show RVP that Arsenal are looking to move forward and provide him with some support.

Some of the worst things are done with the best intentions.

has teamed up well with novakovic after initially struggling to settle at Koln again but looking good this year, not selfish at all if you watch the bundesliga

To be fair, he said for the German national team. He didn't say anything about Koln.

I can't help but think he's going to get in RVP's way to be honest.

LMAO at you lot saying he's average etc. if he had signed at your preferred club then you wouldn't be saying this

This does come with an element of doubt though. Arsenal also made it clear 5 years ago when we announced we had signed Essien before the window had opened. Nothing is secure as yet as its not allowed until July 1. Anybody can pip him with a better offer.

Anything on the official arsenal site? If true I think he will suit the epl and arsenals style and take the pressure of rvp, German league is very open and attacking which makes it similar to epl

No. Arsenal are not stupid enough, nor any other club to post an official article about signing a contracted player outside of the transfer window. As I said before. Arsenal have done this before and have had it fail. Dont be surprised to see another premiership side sign him as all he has agreed to with arsenal is personal terms.

Bring this up again in July.

i know the situation, the clubs have in principle agreed fees and player terms and it just needs to be done officially in july, i dont see anyone else making a play for him unless he dominates in the euros but he may not start given there is muller, kroos, gotze, marin, ozil, reus, grosskruetz who all play a similar role

Like I have posted earlier after people saying he signed with Arsenal. LNot a definite thing. Looks like the Serie A might be snooping around him now.

Lazio have been all over him for 18 months.

I think this has been a case of premature ejaculation.

Which has historically been a problem for Gooners
