League Structures and Nominations

Post by old_trafford »

This news hot off the press from the FFSA .... Enjoy

Dear All,

As you would be aware there have been issues over recent years relating to experienced players being placed into Division 5 due to the fact that they are part of a brand new team. This has resulted in a lot of disgruntlement from the lower level teams.

Currently we are seeking feedback from clubs in relation to a proposal to address this matter. The proposal would allow teams to nominate into a division at the level of Division 3, 4 or 5. This does not mean that promotion and relegation will not be implemented but it will allow for teams and in particular new teams to nominate according to their level. All new teams will be required to fulfil criteria relating to % of new players and existing players as outlined in the Competition Rules and Regulations.

Based on the above proposal the leagues structures would be as follows:

Elite Women’s Leagues - Determined by current teams and future nominations
Division 1 and 2 - Determined by affiliated clubs based on promotion and regulation from previous season
Division 3, 4 and 5 - Determined by affiliated clubs, nominated requests and promotion and relegation from previous season
Collegiate League - Determined by nomination only and must meet criteria to be approved into this league
Adelaide Hills League - Determined by nomination only and must meet criteria to be approved into this league

Please note that no decisions relating to this matter have been implemented and the purpose is to gain feedback from all stakeholders. Can your please provide feedback in relation to this proposal by Friday 2 March 2012

Kind Regards
FFSA
He cannot kick with his left foot, he cannot head a ball, he cannot tackle and he doesn't score many goals. Apart from that he's all right.

Elite is probably best left out of the equation.
