Re: WEST TORRENS BIRKALLA U14 JPL Player Position
Why not promote from below and ask for a player to join at the youngest age group?
Re: WEST TORRENS BIRKALLA U14 JPL Player Position
Perhaps in the opinion of the coach the players below are not strong enough mentally or physically to play 14 A's

Re: WEST TORRENS BIRKALLA U14 JPL Player Position
So the 13A JPL team aren't able to move 1 player up this year, but the whole team will be ready for JPL 14A next year? Or (forgive the cynicism) is it that they do not have a player capable of winning matches for the 14s
Sorry, but you'll never convince me that a team wouldn't have one player capable of playing a year above his/her age.
If they only need 1 extra player then that 13s player would surely be able to train full time with 14's and come off the bench (being free rotation at juniors) during games for 5-15min spurts that allow them to play, then return for feed back during the few weeks of adjustment (if any required).
This all just highlights what will be the best thing about juniors following seniors: the points no longer matter, results no longer matter, long term development is all that matters.

Might help if you knew the full story Jesta before shooting your gob off !!!
Numerous under 13's are being rotated through the 14's every game to give them experience for next season and beyond.
The 14s have lost a few players since the start of the season to injuries, skilleroos and afl.
Tell me what harm is done if the club sticks a post on here to see if there is any player out there looking for a game ??
Not rocket science is it ??

Don't worry mancity, jesta only offering reasonable input to the problem. I guess Birkalla would ideally love to get a top player who may be at a loose end, disgruntled or maybe not even playing club, it is possible and worth a shot. Maybe you need to dangle the carrot a little more by suggesting what the player can gain by coming to the club, the coach you have, training nights etc. Good luck finding players to fill the gaps that have emerged.

As Giancarlo has posted, was purely opening the discussion as to why a player hasn't moved up from the 13s?
Find a player for SSF, and bump one up to each respective age group till the spot is filled.
Never said there was anything wrong with looking for players, purely asking why a player hasn't been moved up from the team below.
It's great to hear the 13's are rotated through, why not just make one permanent?
