Re: Liverpool
Sounds like a strange result until you realise that Demichelis and Mangala were City's centre back pairing. Two of the most overrated defenders I've seen.
PS Coutinho is a gun.

Re: Liverpool
Fortunate penalty, more ball to hand for mine, but Klopp seems like a lucky manager. Top of the table looking tight.

A handball every day of the week. Your arm can't be extended out even if it's not intentional.Nice One Cyril wrote:Fortunate penalty, more ball to hand for mine, but Klopp seems like a lucky manager. Top of the table looking tight.
Wouldn't quite say Klopp has been lucky. We were the better team last night.

The LOTG says "intentional handball" and referees are instructed to treat arms in "unnatural positions" as being intentional. What is a natural position for your arms, depends on what you're doing at the time, so you try raising your leg to waist height without raising your arms for balance, then having a bloke blast the ball at you from 2 metres away. Unless you're an Irish Dancer by trade, you have no hope.

Would certainly make sense, especially over here when everyone seems to assume it's that already.Corký wrote:If it were up to me handball would be handball regardless.

Re: Liverpool
The wind blew the ball onto the hand
I thought it was a pen (but it is my team), it was pretty close to me, and the linesman gave it straightaway.
Awful awful game but the conditions played a big part I think.

Decision in your favour one week, against you the next, these things do tend to even out, unless you're Manchester United of courseNew name required wrote:The wind blew the ball onto the hand

A fortunate first goal, but Liverpool are very average without Coutinho and with Lallana on the pine.PDog wrote:I have no idea how the shiraz that happened - we are in terrible form, and liverpool just knocked off city... mind boggling. yeah i am happy, just bemused, where's that every other week?Bomber wrote:Add Newcastle to the latter list (albeit away)Bomber wrote:Same old Liverpool, get results away to Man C, Chelsea, Spurs, Arsenal, but cant win at home to Palace, West Ham, Norwich etc.

Yeah they'd have made a big difference, but you should be beating teams like us regardless.Nice One Cyril wrote:A fortunate first goal, but Liverpool are very average without Coutinho and with Lallana on the pine.PDog wrote:I have no idea how the shiraz that happened - we are in terrible form, and liverpool just knocked off city... mind boggling. yeah i am happy, just bemused, where's that every other week?Bomber wrote:
