Well he's actually bought for where it was needed, who'd have thought Dunno if they are any good, case of wait and see I guess

Bit of a surprise that they're considering allowing Wilshere to go out on loan, surely he'd be in their best 11?

Nah not at the minute Cyril - Xhaka and Santi play the 5 and 6 roles with Elneny/Coq in front of him i would say. On ability he trumps them but as we all know he hasn't played consistently for long enough to warrant selection.

Not that I agree with sending him out on loan but it maybe good for him to play consistent football and find some form if he can stay injury free

If he stayed at Arsenal I doubt he'd get a decent run of games in the starting 11. Xhaka and Santi combo was awesome to watch v Watford and you'd think they'd be the two central midfielders along with Ozil.

But Wilshere needs minutes on the park. If he can get that at another club, then a loan is the best option.

Wenger wont sell him. He's too talented and they've spent too much time on him to get rid of him.
Send him out on loan for a season. Get his fitness back up to 100% then bring him back where he can make a real difference

Seems for once we have really solid midfield depth. Even Walcott has been impressive in these first few games.

Cant wait to see what Perez has to offer. Wenger has spent close to 100M pounds on players in 2016.
No-one can accuse him of not spending

would be a good move for him if true. He could go somewhere, play week in, week out, get properly match fit, get properly match sharp, and that would then give Wenger something to think about when he gets back.

Cause without playing regularly he’s never going to play to his potential, so its going to be hard to get into the team every week.

but as a whole it seems we have a much more balanced squad this season. and plenty of midfield depth.
Xhaka, Ozil, Ramsey, Cazorla, Elneny, and Coquelin. There are three places, and six men competing for them (seven if Wilshere stays)

Good idea maybe few other young English players sitting on the bench and/or the stands could look overseas for game time/opportunities and development.

Wilshere off to Bournemouth for the season. Decent set up there but he's going to be under the pump a bit in midfield most games. Maybe the making of him, hope so.

I think he's better off there playing under Eddie Howe than at Palace under Pardew.

And if he can stay fit, he'll be starting week in, week out which is what he needs at this stage of his career.

I was kinda disappointed to see Gnabry leave permanently. The kid has some talent.
Thought they'd maybe loan him out but the rumour was he didn't want to sign a new deal with Arsenal so he's off to Bremen.

6.5M seems a bit cheap though. Maybe we get a percentage if he's sold on in the future

Does seem low, Spurs got £9m for Alex Pritchard, who only had two appearances.

Overall im happy with the business Wenger has done in this transfer window (haven't said that too often over the years)

He strengthened two key areas for Arsenal and sent some guys out on loan who need regular game time and will be better for it when they return

Why would you go to Italy when there's plenty of English clubs who will pay stupid money? Don't have to move to another country, don't need flights to visit friends and family, don't need to speak another language...

We were just lucky that PSG couldn't finish

Could have easily been 3-4 goals down before we got our equaliser (though Iwobi could have snatched it in the end)

We didn't play well at all so i'll take the point away from home.

Sanchez's best role is coming in from out wide. He's not a number 9.
Why was Coq always so far up field? He's best position is a true defensive mid.

we just haven't really 'clicked' so far this season. maybe the game v Watford, but in other games we haven't looked our usual selves.

im putting it down to players still finding fitness, new players coming in etc. But we need to turn things around and soon

Yes, RODE Lady Luck, especially in the first half with Cavani's woeful finishing. But that man from Medellin, David Ospina, was awesome throughout. And Arsenal had the balance of play for most of the 2nd half and should have snatched all 3 points.

Though gotta turn all that beautiful midfield football into goals this season. Untouchable Professor Wenger knows that.

Giroud's silliness in getting sent off wasn't needed and he'll be missed.

Can wenger, just once, play his best available players in their best positions. You never know, may even see a decent game.

Wenger is loosing it by the day.

How Coquelin is still getting a game, with Xhaka watching from the bench is unbelievable!

How the hell did the officials manage to give the last minute goal against Burnley?

Not only was it offside, it was a blatant handball as well. bottle of shiraz disgraceful.

I didn't watch it that closely but I'll take your word for it, still an obvious handball though.

It was fairly obviously ball to hand but was it clearly deliberate hand to ball? Got to admit though, of the 3 reasonable real time conclusions the officials could have come to they probably picked the least obvious one. But perhaps still the correct decision in the end. We were still crap though, no getting away from that.

Had a defender done that with his arms up, they'd have given a pen all day long. I can only assume that all three officials missed it, but I was surprised that the Burnley players didn't make more of a fuss.

Not playing that great yet but still top of the league. New signings have introduced some balls into the squad (finally), even Walcott's getting brave again.

Same, same we do this every year!

Positive is the squad is deeper, not having to rush Giroud and Ramsey back is giving them time to get a proper preseason in so when we do fall over with injuries we have the cover fit and ready to go

Promising signs.
But we've been in this position before in years gone by.

Just need to remain consistent and not have our usual dip.

And a deeper squad will definitely help. If we have 2-3 players go down, we'll have adequate cover.

Dominant performance this morning, with Wenger rotating the squad before kick off and during the game. Mesut hatrick :D and another clean sheet! If we had Mustafi and Kozzie for the first game v Liverpool it would of been a different story
