News coming from Serie A was that a deal between Juve & Inter to swap Vucinic and Guarin was all but confirmed only for Inter to pull out due to alleged outrage from some of Inter's supporters. However reports are suggesting that all the formalitites are still taking place as both the players are eager to push through their respective swap, hoping the clubs will come to an agreement eventually.

From a Juventus perspective, not sure about this one. Haven't seen enough of Guarin to know the true value of the swap, always liked Vucinic, didn't score alot of goals but always created chances and space with his movement. Will be interesting to see the outcome.

I think you will find it will be a genius piece of work from Marotta. Vucinic is 30 and you have 12 million strikers plus stakes in Gabbiadini and Immobile who are already both on par or better than Vucinic so its no big loss. Guarin is 26 or something with his best years ahead and a dynamic attacking midfielder who can also play a bit deeper.

I would have been happy had Napoli got hold of him.

Sh*t result for Napoli given we had worked hard to get back in front vs Bologna after an absolutely dismal first half. If it wasnt evident before that game that our defence is sh*t it certainly is now.

He would hardly be adequate - if we looked into the crystal ball you can see PSG with a bid of 50 million Euro plus Verratti and I think Juve will take it.

I think it would be a disaster if they did -they do not need the money now they have the stadium.

A good point considering the early red card. Great header by Llorente (8 goals in his last 10 league matches), while Klose at the other end was fantastic. Such a willing worker for 90 minutes, it was great to watch.

And before you start, yes Juve do have a better and deeper squad than Napoli and we should be expected to go further in the comp. and Napoli had a tough group etc etc. No arguments there, we were poor. That was kind of Puddy's point, that the management at Juve have managed to assemble a very good squad on very little spend (in terms of modern football).

Napoli's starting eleven would surely be more expensive than Juve's (stand to be corrected on that one) yet it has not resulted in any better performances has it. They performed better in the CL and were unlucky not to go through but the end result remains the same. So here in lies Puddy's point again, they managed to create a squad that is better than most in Italy, including Napoli's on less of a spend.

13 million in modern football terms is not much, you just used his broad statement to be a d*ck as usual.

Interesting to hear Sabatini sprouting after the game how Napoli weren't that dominant!!! Roma had a few chances in the first 10 minutes, after that point they were put to the sword.

Jorginho is going to be a very good player and hopefully goes to the world cup.

Higuain nearly 20 goals in all comps, he should finish with 30 and already 9 assists.

Very happy to collect 3 points this morning thanks to the brilliance of Tevez.
Could of been a different story had a late pen been given for clear contact. Just happy El Kaddouri took an extra step before collapsing, not stumbling. Had he gone down on the contact or his stride looked too have been effected by the contact it should of been called. In the end it looked more like dive because of that extra step and the decision went against him.
Torino were good but we allowed them no space to play their counter attacking style. We weren't allowed space wide either and didn't look particularly dangerous either.

Not condoning that, but if there is some sort of ban for that and never for the -39 signs around, then something is wrong.

Good performance, as above, we choked them in the final third. It was like the Roma game - we sat back and let Torino control as much as we wanted to. There was a good atmosphere to the game, no doubt reflecting how well both sides are doing this season.

Like you said, if he goes down straight away it would probably be called. There was contact, but his late and theatrical fall made it look a dive. It looked that way in real time, but the replay shows there was contact.

That was 100% a penalty, any decent ref would have given that. Pirlo deliberately stuck his leg out to take him down, clear contact and no ball = penalty.

Of course I am seeing it through my granata tinted glasses, but really, no excuse to miss a clear cut penalty like that and then follow up with a yellow which now sees him miss the next game.

In general, Tevez class aside, Toro matched Juve and i would say over the course of the two games this year, Juve have been very fortunate to win both as first game Pogba was offside for the goal and this game we should have had a penalty.

Lovely stuff from Llorente and Tevez to seal what was a tough game against Milan. First time since 1994-95 that we've done the season double vs Milan. The gap is now 11 points after Roma's draw with Inter.

I thought Napoli would pay for drawing at Livorno, but then Fiorentina lose at home to Lazio, so it wasn't the worst weekend for Napoli!

Malesani could be sacked from Sassuolo, with Di Francesco coming back. What a shocker...
