Hearts have beaten the transfer deadline to sign Lithuanian duo Kestutis Ivaskevicius and Andrius Velicka.
The FBK Kaunas duo have both signed one-year loan deals with the Tynecastle club. Their arrivals bring the number of Lithuanian imports at Hearts to seven players.
Both men featured as trialists in the 2-0 friendly win over Spanish side Osasuna, with striker Velicka opening the scoring for the Jambos.
Another trialist in that match, Marius Zaliukas, signed for Hearts two weeks ago and made his debut in the 4-1 win over Inverness at the weekend.
Hearts majority shareholder Vladimir Romanov also has a financial stake in UKIO Bankos, who sponsor Kaunas.
It is believed Velicka and midfielder Ivaskevicius have been given the go-ahead to join the Jambos after Kaunas were eliminated from the UEFA Cup last week.
Hearts failed to book their place in the group stages of the Champions League following a tough qualifying tie against AEK Athens.
But they now face a tricky UEFA Cup first-round match against Sparta Prague as they attempt to book a place in the group stages of the competition.
They will also be hoping to mount a stronger challenge for the SPL League title, after finishing second last season.
The new signings join fellow Lithuanians Saulius Mikoliunas, Deividas Cesnauskas, Edgaras Jankauskas, Nerijus Barasa and Zaliukas at Tynecastle.
Heading the other way is Denis McLaughlin, who has gone on loan to Third Division outfit Berwick Rangers until January.
