What Happened To Pontians

Post by OMGReally »

Was in Div 1 last year. Now relegated from Div 2 this year?

Will they be around next year?

Similar to Asteras?

Most of there players whilst in Div 1 where from the Western Suburbs , Its Amatuers they aint driving 30 or 40 minutes just to get to training (they would play feds if they were that committed)...Moved up north, where a vast majority of Sunday div one teams are pretty much based , and most other Sunday teams for that matter. There already is another Greek based team (Florina) in that area who have been there for quite some time so most of the Greek background players would be there/ go there. And finally some very very poor decisions were made other then moving out north = DIV 3 next year unfortunately for them.

They wont fold , they have established some junior teams and gotten a home based of there own (even if its far away from most of the players they have attracted to the club over the years) just going to be a long hard road back to the top
