Div 2 promotion

Post by East Boy »

No one is really talking about it on here, but this is going to be a tight finish to the season.

Grove games: Brahma (A), TTG (H), Blue Eagles (A)
Brahma: Grove (H), PHE (A), Munno Para (H)
PHE: Munno Para (A), Brahma (H), TTG (A)

All teams have tough remaining 3 games. Grove would have to be the obvious favorites for the league title and possibly have the easiest draw, but that brahma game could be a turning point for both teams.
Brahma have to play both of the other top 3 teams, but that 1 point they have on us could be the difference.
We have 2 very tough away games and a huge game in brahma at home.

Fulham know they aren't mathematically out of getting promoted, but would need a lot of results to go their way.

For me, grove are the stand out team this year and the other 4-5 teams could be in the position Brahma and PHE find ourselves in. Its going to go down to the wire.

Top run down East Boy. Been a very quiet year in div 2 on here, especially ever since Gully started losing games

Should be a cracking end to the year, and a nice change for us to be doing it at this end of the ladder!

Cheers Swanny!
I know there's a fair few on here from grove and brahma, but it seems no one wants to talk about promotion or league titles just yet......

Its been too quiet! Gone are the days of a bit of banter on here.
Always great to see the gully boys go into their shell.
You guys have certainly had a great run. Just noticed you are unbeaten in 8 games. Grove beat you, then you beat us and that started your run!
A lot of handy pick ups for your lot have no doubt helped!

I think the Grove loss got things going. Have only been able to see 2 of our games this year both against Macoes. Great to see so many new faces out there. Moggy's done a great job so far so hoping we can jag a top 2 finish

Yes but will need a lot to go right for them.

Brahma v Munno Para last game could yet be the decider if Brahma go up and if Munno Para go down to Div 3 with Blue Eagles a game in hand against Fulham to be played Sept 14 - week after Rd 18

would think with the squads they've got both teams would be a good chance of staying up. Makes for a stronger prem league 2016

With a few issues that Southern Knights may have with pitch availability and sharing and numbers at training maybe you guys could move North and become the Northern Knights!!!!

We need to stay up first  ...2 more games and lots of work still to be done.
If we had an Aberdeen connection we could become the Northern Knights of old Aberdeen...

The Pontian move up north doesn't seem to have worked as well as they probably hoped.
"I've missed more than 9000 shots in my career. I've lost almost 300 games. 26 times I've been trusted to take the game winning shot and missed. I've failed over and over and over again in my life. That's why I succeed." -Michael Jordan
