Southern Knights made the long drive North to Elizabeth Vale knowing how important, for both clubs, the points were for survival in the Sunday
Premier Division. Knights welcomed back Tom Foglia who had been rested the previous week, Iain Stewart in for the late withdrawal of in form
Shaun Papworth and Andrew Alvino for injured Scott Bradley.
Knights struck early within 5 minutes when Tom Foglia put away his first league goal for the season only to see Elizabeth Vale's Michael Francis
break through to erase the deficit in the 10th. minute.
Around the 25 minute mark Tom Foglia struck again with a well placed 20 metre free kick into the right hand side of Vale's goal.
Within a minute Ross McNab had added the vistors second and Knights went to the break with a 1-3 lead.
Jamie Faulkner, Aaron O'Toole, Iain Stewart and Matthew Harrison were working well in defence in front of Stephen Maguire.
Ben Jones, Tom Salvemini and Adrew Alvino in midfield were keeping their Vale counterparts on their toes.
After the break there were a few showers as the weather rolled in and two typical Chris Nicholls goals drew the game level at 3-3.
On about the 60 minute mark Robert Marsden was in the right place to tap the ball into an empty net to make it 3-4.
Five minutes later, as Vale appeared to tire, Tom Foglia completed a well earned hat-trick to end his 7 league game goal drought.
Ben Jones capped it off at 3-6 for Knights with a measured strike from just over 20 metres.

only too well what they are going through at the moment and know they will bounce back...3 teams fighting it out at the top of the league
and the other 7 fighting it out to stay in the Sunday Premier Division....tough times ahead for all.

Matt Harrison congratulates Ben Jones on his goal that gives Knights a 3 goal lead at 3-6.
