So, does that mean they are better then the Downs ? always going to be difficult when you have a big result in the Cup, to back it up the following game, because all of a sudden you have gone from the "hunters to the hunted" - most teams will lift and try harder when they play against you, they want to beat the team that beat the Downs.

Really?
I think sturt are one of the strongest sides in the Saturday comp (not to mention 2nd on the table). pretty sure most sides know it will be a tough game & hawks needed a win to keep survival hopes alive.
Nothing to do with the downs at all really.

A tad disrespectful to Sturt their Caretaker Coach. Teams would want to lift against Sturt because of the position they're in. It has nothing to do with us or beating us. Well done to Hawks last night on a good victory that keeps them alive for another week

Was that referred to me?
If so, come on Sid!
You really think a team battling it out for survival really care who they played the week before?

Settle folks, those who know me know I have a lot of respect for Sturt Marion, and Saturday league in general - it is always going to be tough when you have a big win, because whoever you play in the next game, will know that will have to try even harder against you ( which translates to you are going to have a hard game on your hands ).

It is said, that it is usually always tougher playing against a team playing for survival, then it is playing against a team going for the title.

You can also add that Sturt Marion didnt play last week, while MA Hawks had what must have been a hard contest against Bosa.

Put all those equations together, it was always going to be a tough night at the office for Sturt Marion = well done to MA Hawks.

Hope I made more sense this time ?

Wouldn't you be trying to win anyway?
No country who has never qualified for the world cup should be allowed to host it at the expense of one who has.
Sod Japan, sod Qatar, sod Blatter and his cronies!
