Not a good day at the office for Southern Knights...2-0 up early in the game and playing some good football.
Macedonia got one back before half time and then found themselves 2-3 up.....Knights managed to rattle the upright but the ball refused to cross the line...furthermore, Knights weren't able to convert a second penalty which also struck the upright.
It's somewhat disappointing that referees continue to book players for asking questions or instinctively touching a ball into the net after a whistle has blown....yet they let players get away with tackles from behind still amazes me.. :? Several debilitating tackles from behind on Lee White and Glen Crute went uncautioned...
Knights immediate future in Dvision 2 (or Dvision 3) now rests entirely on their own shoulders and on their final game, away at Raptors on Sunday.
Special thanks to Paul Martin and Deb for organizing the Hangi...great food...but a win would have helped make the beer taste better.

A six goal second half gave Southern Knights Reserves one of their biggest victories for some time...and it should have been bigger.
Anthony Micheal's maiden goal for Knights was one of the highlights of the encounter topping off his best on ground performance.
Leading scorers Paul Thompson and Dustin McMahon kept pace with each other with 2 goals each.
