Arrived at the game 10 minutes after kick-off and the Downs were already 1-0 up...although the Downs had several chances to stretch their lead, Stirling's keeper seemed to have his judgement and timing right on the day.
Ben McMullen rattled the crossbar with a well hit shot and Ozi Fazilahmed broke away several times but couldn't add to his opening goal.
Stirling stretched the Downs on several occasions with some good passing passages but were rarely able to produce a final touch to trouble Phil Hallard in the Downs goal...but with only a 1 goal deficit meant they could always sneak their way back into the game.
Downs hit the woodwork again in the second half but had to be happy with a passage through to the Semi Finals.
