Southern Knights journeyed to my old neck of the woods to hopefully offset their 3-5 home defeat at the hands of Munno Para earlier in the season.
Both teams started somewhat tentatively, pushing the ball around and stringing some excellent passes together.
The ground was quite firm but plays true and eventually Knights drew first blood midway through the first half.
Munno Para's keeper was able to keep out a firmly hit shot only to see Tony Micallef latch on to the ball and calmly put the ball into the back of the net.
Munno Para rebounded well and brought out a couple of excellent saves from Mark Kay in the Knights goal.
Despite some early confusion at the back for Knights, Matt Harrison, Lee White, Tom Jolly and Steve Maguire began to gel and work the ball out to Ben Jones, Scott Bradley and Lyndon Parry.
Near the end of the first half Sandy Neary escaped the Munno Para defence only to be felled in the box but David Mooney shaved the outside of the upright with the ensuing penalty.
Knights had a few more scares as the ball was driven across the face of goal several time and Ben Jones cleared off the line and went to the break with a 0-1 lead.
After the break Knights looked refreshed and more determined and soon Tony Micallef had his second goal for the game to give Knights a 0-2 lead.
Matty Harrison had been dominant in the air all day and soon this dominance paid dividends as he rose above the pack to head home to give the visitors a 0-3 lead.
David Mooney was knocked out briefly in a heading duel and in the process also suffered a leg injury and was replaced by Matt Daughtry.
Late in the second half Ben Jones broke through the opposition's defence but was fouled by Paras keeper who was subsequently red carded.
Sandy Neary added the fourth for Southern Knights and the travellers savoured their long journey to take all three points

Munno Para tested Knights early but lacked the final touch they had when they met earlier in the season.

Meanwhile Munno Paras resolve was tested by Knights.
