I hadn't even removed my camera from its case !
Knights were missing Matt Daughtry (flu) and were still minus Chris Bradley (inj) but were able to re-introduce Scott Bradley back into the side.
Freed up from defensive duty with the inclusion of the experienced Steve "Maggy" Maguire at left back, Sandy Neary was able to open up San Marco's defence.
Not surprisingly, within about 10 minutes Knights stretched their lead to 2-0 through Sandy Neary.
San Marco regained composure and began to string together their close passing game but Ben Jones and Lyndon Parry covered a lot of ground in midfield to keep them in check.
At the back Tom Jolly, Matty Harrison, Steve Maguire and Lee White combined well and anything slipping through was picked up by Mark Kay in Knights goal.
David Mooney and Scott Bradley made several runs at San Marcos defence but were unable to convert and the score remained 2-0 at half time.
The second half saw Knights creating several chances before Tony Micallef eventually broke through to put Knights 3-0 in front.
Mark Kay produced some fine saves to keep out San Marco at bay and Knights went 4-0 up when David Mooney converted from the penalty spot.
