I think at junior level, say from U10's, there is a need for more game play, the kids are training hard but just get at most maybe 30 minutes of play on a Sunday. They don’t get to really put in play what they learn at training, they need more game time, it doesn’t have to be structured, just play ...

It would depend on the club you're at, as I would agree with most here that many JSL 1 teams are playing at a much higher standard than JPL 3 teams - but then it all totally depends on the two clubs you are weighing up. As said above, though, most of the kids will drop out and the ones with true desire will end up shining through. Yes they need a level of skill to go with that desire, but getting picked at 11 years old really means nothing in the long run except more cost for the parents. 100% agree. I've seen so ...
