Re: Lady Reds - Wooden Spooners
How about signing players earlier in the year. Mid year latest with the core of your Adelaide contingent training and maintaining a squad and cultivating a good culture and learning a structure after having some solid time off.

Re: Lady Reds - Wooden Spooners
You could not say any of those things to a male & expect to get the best from them, that’s my point, you treat players with respect either way, with honesty, if you want the best from them. For someone that wants equality you sure make a lot of excuses for why women can’t achieve what men can, ...

Re: MVW V AUW
:D I don't keep that tight of a record on other people however of the two who I know sustained injuries one was soccer - keeping her out of football and one was football which meant she missed both and returned to soccer before football. By the sounds of it you already know this or have a list?

Re: MVW V AUW
Metro, Fulham and Uni all had players for the past two season playing both? In fact while playing SANFLW there were some girls still playing other sports during the summer. I however chose not to do so but could have if i wanted to. Like i said if people at clubs are willing to take the risk then wh...

Re: MVW V AUW
Given the very little that the girls get paid I dont think you can ask them to choose between two pay days if the clubs are happy.

Re: MVW V AUW
Maybe they should adopt more of a football model and make the WNPL shorter to ensure that players have enough of a rest period to recover from w-league. The only problem there though would then be a massive chunk of players would be having a rather long break between seasons. SANFL now runs the same...

Re: The Giant AFL-W machine continues to obliterate
I think from what I have heard for players contracted it's 10k and for rookie listed contracted players (who can only play if promoted from the rookie list due to injury) is 8.5k. Do w-league team's now have rookie listed athletes or just contracted athletes who are all able to gain match time? Thin...

If you had the opportunity to play at the same level and make money out of it why would you not? Especially depending on what point of your career you are at?
Men would most certainly move for the same reasons more often I would imagine.

I agree Rightside. Thrilling round with a goal fest and 2 more games to come tomorrow night...and more goals. Re: Lady reds
Players of my age group who were kicked out of the Sasi program prior to the wleague being created and post wnsl had a 1-2 year period of just purely premier league football. This lead to more than half quitting and the other half still remaining to just be lost in the wilderness while our interstat...
