Re: Adelaide Airport Premier League Team Lists Round 19
Sadly, cancelled due to weather.
We were nearing grand junction road, got the txt then saw about 5 cars hang a left
as we caught up saw they were all players heading back home.
Well its warm and dry here (home) now.

uni v sturt games

Re: 2014 prems coaches
Wasn't this thread about coaches? But as far as Olympic goes next year I thought they were going to be under West Adelaide's name and therefore have more chance of getting juniors and reserves. This is my understanding of it too. But is it the case there are not enough numbers for the teams? last 3 ...

Re: Adelaide Airport Premier League Team List & results Roun
It appears that the coach did the right thing in limiting the scoring. You cannot help the quality of the players at olympic - they are experienced prems players whose life choices limit their options in playing for prem clubs. I wouldnt read too much into it being involved in the game at this level ...

Re Cancellation The previous week FU v UNI reserves was cancelled by the ref. Prems went ahead as the pitch was repaired in the mean time and the prems ref was happy enough. This week Uni v City reserves was played on the non main pitch allowing it to be fit for the prems game. it was slightly ...

Re: Results
I would be interested to hear about that game. Anybody there? Sorry I am no expert but I'll give it a crack. 1st half scrappy with interesting but scrappy goals. soft penalty for uni, lobbed kick at goal just out of reach the only decent shots hit the cross bar. City played wide much better than ...

I think with each NEW season there is no need for this. (FFSA put a stop to tying players down)beaches wrote:Must have been cleared by Cumberland.
AFAIK she hasnt registered for cumby this year. She only needs permission from her current club/team to play here and approved by FFSA which she did get.

Re: Girls playing with boys
Until they're uncomfortable. My daughter played u12 boys then moved on to girls comp she then played 1 yr u13s, 1 yr u15 then to reserves. She was being given stick by a couple of the boys and wanted to move to a girls team. I think the above path is fairly common. My niece moved very early U11s ...

Re: Uni-Metro points and teamsheets
I am getting quite confused here...You make it sound like Uni did the right thing and Metro appealed, but it's the opposite! Uni is the club that appealed when a rule was correctly applied!!! So dear pc9999 you should ask yourself on what basis did they appeal??? I thought I was asking generally, I ...

Re: Uni-Metro points and teamsheets
this is gold. The introduction of an appeal is fine but the appeal should be based on was the rule appropriately applied if not then overturn the penalty and no comeback. You can argue punishment is unjust and get it reduced or mitigated but not in this case. I like the process where you can ...

Re: Uni-Metro points and teamsheets
Apparently the appeal is not taken by FFSA but by a separate body. But the question about the secrecy is important IMO...why this lack of transparency? Is it because this means that from now on there's absolutely no more need to respect any rule? This is a massive precedent, which basically erases ...

Re: FFSA Cup Draw - Round 2 (Consolation Cup Round 1)
Metro Prems v Metro Reserves ? Why are reserves in the same comp. ? This could only happen in SA. Why is this bad? Res are a team too and they enjoy taking it to the prems. I know my daugther's res can push their prems on trial games and it gives them a chance to be seen by the prems coach in a ...

Re: Keeper Movement in Cup Games
My head now hurts thinking of scenarios so say round 1 City Prems have a bye, Res have a game and lose, div 1 has a game and win round 2 (forgetting consolation), City Res cannot play for div1 b/c they are in a higher division? But they can play for City Prems. if we consider consolation cup (dont ...

Re: Keeper Movement in Cup Games
I am confused over this too. From my poor memory I thought it worked as follows a) field player can move up and down to different cup comp ie Juniors to seniors (it may have been up and cant come back down) b) a Goalie could go up and down as the need arises as we have a shortage of goalies (so in ...
