Re: Stirling FC women STATE and RESERVE divisions
Unfortunately Stirling do not have enough players for 2 teams. They were threatened that if they did not play in the FFSA SL they may not get any team in any league. Faced with what seems no choice Stirling have relented but as the numbers stand this week there will be forfeited reserve games when t...

Re: Under 13 skillaroos lose
The southern one has been doing poaching for years. Not a good example of how to develop people, let alone players.

Re: Pay Dispute - Lady Reds
Happy to see the budget go to local coaches and players than B graders from elsewhere Bring back Emma and the others to the Reds Give opportunity to local players. It is local money paying for it. If opportunity is restricted then less benefit. It is not a professional league it is a development lea...

Stirling back to back League and Cup
Stirling Div 1 have done the back to back League and Cup double. Needing a win in last nights catch up game to secure the league the Stirling girls came from 2 down to win 4-2 against a determined Adelaide University team whom had added support from Salisbury United who were hoping Uni won or drew s...

Re: NUWWFC Entering A Women's Club Into The JSL Boys League
Be careful what you ask for. The best of the best girls from SA play in the two FFSA teams in the U12 and U15 leagues supported by high end FFSA coaches. They play in the moderate leagues and the girls are between 1-2 years older than the boys. This best of the best is competitive. If you are gettin...

NSW NTC won
Westies and SANTC struggled
Bit dodgy that a representative team wins its way into a World Club tournament Be like the Socceroos getting a go at the Champions League.
Bottom line - Great experience for all the boys from SA. Something they shared and never forgotten

Re: unsporting behaviour
JSL teams getting "belted" can learn from their stronger opponents what standard of football can be achieved. You would hope the much stronger team behaves appropriately and shows respect. Just like in this instance, if the Metrostars team played the State team for its age group, the learn...

Re: Round 2 - Lady Reds vs Victory
Can anyone explain to me why we played a new International player ahead of local players who have been with the team from day 1. I know we had a draw last week but today was a game we had to win. If for nothing else a bit of respect. If Tim Cahill came to the Reds would you play him or put him on t...

Re: Lady Reds Squad 2013/14
Of course RA will pick the best players for his squad. The issue is that SA govt, local clubs and local business are funding this so the giving of "opportunity" has a cost. Clearly we will not be in finals so we can only hope we do not finish bottom again. The cost of gaining some respect ...

Re: Lady Reds Squad 2013/14
Why are we giving young players from interstate development opportunities in our State forsaking local talent? If we are going to have poor results, may as well be with 17, 18 and 19 year olds from SA as the interstaters will just come in, soak up the development opportunities and go back to their o...

Re: Henley Heat Seeking U13 JSL players for season 2014
Whilst we all want more boys playing football, surely this team could play under the birkalla, cobras or strikers banner on their own facility at Henley. Starting up small one offs does nothing for implementing national programs or pathway

Re: New Junior Structure 2014
Junior football is about developing the individual, not team.
A "good" player at a State league club can be jumped through grades with assistance from good coaches and be playing first team football at 15. Surely comparable to playing PL U15 in a big club.

Re: New Junior Structure 2014
A few old fat men with only a misguided sense of what is best for their club have halted an improvement in junior football in this State. The pressure on well meaning junior coaches to get promotion or starve off relegation instead of improving the individual players remains. The FFSA implements rul...
