Re: Why is Wenger such a whinger?
either his a whinger or he is clever. By putting all the attention on himself rather than his players. Lets face it every since arsenal have built there stadium they dont have the money to spend as man utd or chelsea do. they need every penney that they have. you name me one other manager who can co...

Re: mcdonald linked with wigan
He'll struggle in the Premier league just like he does when he plays for the Socceroos. No disrepect to Scottish football, but a bit different playing against Man U, muscat, Chelsea, etc...than Falkirk, Dumbarton, Partick Thistle... i disagree did u see the quality goal he scored against man utd in...

i cant beleive that scott mcdonald is one of the stand by players. and carney is in the squad. this guy has just signed for celtic for crying out loud. on the whole the squad looks good, but it would have been better brining in sayd james trosi or a young gun rather that say carney, to experience th...

Scott McDonald (Motherwell, Scotland), was the player I was trying to think of in my post 'Socceroos' yesterday. He has scored 16 goals this season, wearing No.7, in the SPL, so should be an ideal choice for the attacking mid-fielder position. he's actually a celtic player now, signed for them for ...

TEVEZ and his match against Villa
Tevez game on in the last 30 mins of the west ham villa game. I saw this match last night and was a great game. I was looking forward to seeing Tevez in action; this guy looks good, very good. His movement and his abilities to take on defenders with sharp turns were fantastic. He created several cha...

Sydney FC names Yorke despite transfer talk
Thursday, 31 August, 2006 - 4:02PM
Sydney FC Captain Dwight Yorke has been named in Sydney FC’s squad for Saturday night’s clash with Melbourne Victory despite speculation he could leave the Hyundai A-League Champions for a return to England.
Yorke has been named in Sydney FC’s 16-man squad for the blockbuster at Telstra Dome and will travel to Melbourne on Friday morning, if he remains a Sydney FC player beyond the closure of the transfer window (9am Friday Sydney time).
Yorke has been the target of a move by English Championship side Sunderland with Sydney FC and the recently relegated Sunderland locked in transfer talks.
Regardless of the outcome, Yorke has been named and will lead the side onto Telstra Dome for the historic clash should his career continue in Australia.
“Dwight (Yorke) is in the squad, “said Sydney FC Coach Terry Butcher. “At this point in time Dwight is a Sydney FC player and until that situation changes, if indeed it does, then he is one of the first players named.
“He made a successful comeback against the Central Coast Mariners last weekend and we have planned around having him in the side to take on Melbourne.â€
