It's the same in all codes, there was a punch up in u14s cricket between parents. The problem comes from halfwits like rookie that havnt played any sport and wont to blame the refs or umps because there kids are crap.

You do realise that's the point of playing sport? Sometimes you win sometimes you lose. Even with helicopter parents

Its a very tough age and lots drop out. They need to play with their mates and enjoy it. The development and opportunitys will only come if they are happy.

Our experience with the sap(south) program has been different. I think it started a bit slow but has improved week in week out maybe with the kids starting to get to know each other a bit better. My first thoughts were that it lacked intensity but as my 9 year old pointed out it is a skills ...
