Re: Saturday Div 2 Predictions, Results, Thoughts, Rumours

No doubt that Dave has the runs on the board at other clubs and has a pedigree that puts him up at the top echelon of coaches in the amateur league. However we did get relegated with a squad that was stronger than at any other time at the club for a very long time. I am not saying that Dave was the...

Re: Black Kits

That happens twice a year for the last few years when Uni (black) play Villa (yellow). The home team changes, and the ref wears the colour of the home team. ie. at uni, we wear the white alternate, the ref wears black and villa wear yellow. at villa, they weart thier green alternate, the ref wears ...

Re: Black Kits

They seem to do pretty well now with just the two... no, they make do in some instances. eg. what if Iggies (yellow) play adelaide uni (black), what happens when the team playing adelaide uni have a keeper in a yellow shirt? Seems so much easier to just say that refs wear the traditional colour - B...

lol, stupid thread full of stereotypes. i for one don't buy into the entire 'continental flair' vs 'anglo heart' comparison. at my club theres two older blokes - one tough as nails wog, one prima donna pommy. both are fantastic players and are totally the opposite of their stereotypes - imo the peo...

That would be great for us as a club that has been around for 75 years as 'The Blacks' being forced to wear another colour kit. How did you get away with it 10-15 years ago when the referees wore black then? You shouldn't have to change your shirt color for the refereeS how stupid is that... I agre...

According to my source, the amateur league are going to onl give refs one shirt next season and it will be black and as such will be banning teams from playing in black kits. Yep, its an FFA thing. They want all refs in black by 2012. that matches what he told me as he said federation would be doin...

If we are to believe this goal was"legitimate" then what about all the foul throws when the ball is tossed underarm to someone else to throw it. Should be a foul throw if the ball enters the field of play.

Milwall and Leeds falling to a more familiar A draw at Rangers Stadium, not too many teams will do that this season. according to the laws, the ref got it spot on. However, every player on the pitch knew that the free kick had not been taken. Except Torres and maybe Kuyt. Otherwise why did they chase the ball? Defender basically stuffed up really. Then why does torres look back at the ref before he passes. He's l...

I'm already going to thailand for that game. But it's only a friendly? That bull and you know it. At the beginning of the season, each club has to name a squad. How they elect to manage that squad based on the competitions they're in, is entirely a case for the club and the manager, stuff all to do with any governing body. In any event, I'm sure the 'smaller' clubs ar...

Re: Carling Cup

The FA should start clamping down on teams playing "lesser" sides. Fine them, punish them, find some way to deduct league points. My first ever game at Wembley was for a league cup final and I can still remember it to this day as a great day/memory. It's a pity that the league cup is now ...
