Re: Croydon
Perhaps clubs simply shouldn't enter a team in the "elite levels" which is regarded as WNPL and WSL if they aren't going to put any effort, money or time into it. How people turn this on FSA is absurd in my opinion. Croydon entered the team. It's not the fault of FSA that Croydon allowed a mass ...

Re: WNPL Player Payments Models
No I do not however, I question how the allocation will occur. I think the formula to be sued will be interesting. How much will flow through to the WNPL team/s? So you support women's players getting paid but want to take away a revenue stream for clubs and host all games at a neutral venue ...

Re: WNPL and State sports Park
C U and Burns thank you for the condescending remarks. Ignorance is contagious. Does a lease mean exclusivity? Certainly, doesn’t mean ownership. I’d say tonight and any other Friday night it lays idle. In regards to State Park and the de-centralisation of WNPL games, I maintain this has bene a det ...

Re: WNPL and State sports Park
Still not a fan of games away from the one venue on one night. I think the game was prospering when at the Parks (Apex) when there were at least 4 games. So why do men's NPL clubs get the benefit of home games, but women's NPL clubs don't? Clubs lose out on money. It's about time that all clubs ...

Re: WNPL and State sports Park
I'm a purist and I like the Friday night "game night". I'm a purist and I prefer a traditional home and away season, not every game at the same venue. I find it farcical that the reason some clubs are forced to play at the State Centre is a lack of a players race yet two out of three pitches at the ...

Re: Openings for WNPL Adelaide Comets Senior/Reserve Players 2022
I wonder, after the majority of last year off, if Chrissy Panagaris follows her father to Comets. Would be a huge loss on Metro's end, and a huge gain for Comets.

Season 2022
Rumours of WNPL increasing to 10 teams (no relegation and both Modbury Vista and Birkalla to come up). Apparently a large number of clubs have put their names forward for the WSL in 2022. Elizabeth Grove announced tonight that they've been accepted into the Women's State League for 2022 (finished ...

Re: WNPL/WSL Pro/Rel
Again FSA decisions made on the fly. Why aren't these decisions made clearly before season commences ? Amateur hour once again If there's 1 decision that's made on the fly that FSA shouldn't be hammered for, it's this one (if it passes the vote). WNPL has needed to be a 10 team competition for a ...

Re: WNPL/WSL Pro/Rel
Feel for Adelaide Uni relegated. They are a strong hardworking club am sure they will bounce straight back up into WNPL. At least they have a strong enough female base to not fall victim to the Sturt Marion result. I'd expect Uni to be straight back up next year. It'd be very very surprising if ...

Re: WNPL/WSL Pro/Rel

Re: Get Rid of Double Headers with men
Surely you're taking the absolute pizz here. Maximising crowds with supporters supporting both the men and women is a huge thing. It's not like supporters of other clubs stick around for the full match of a match that doesn't involve their teams. Clubs actually get a home ground advantage again at ...

Re: WNPL/WSL Pro/Rel
Saw a post earlier that Sturt Lions have announced that they will be fielding a team in the Women's State League in 2022.
One of a number of clubs entering WSL I imagine.
But good to see NPL clubs making the effort to provide an elite women's pathway to the WNPL as well.

Re: WNPL/WSL Pro/Rel
Not sure if there is or is not a relegation promotion for 2022. If there is, then I would like to voice my disapproval. Fulham at the very least has been a foundation club for women's football in SA and have the track record and structure (juniors and seniors) in place. While I agree they have ben ...

Re: WNPL/WSL Pro/Rel
Where do you expect these players to come from to strengthen an already shallow talent pool? Do you think any existing player / club wants to play less games (18 v 21)? Birkalla (1 season) and Vista (3 years) had no senior women's teams up until recently, why reward them artificially ahead of their ...

WNPL/WSL Pro/Rel
Having seen a few of the results from the Women's State League recently, it's quite clear that Modbury Vista and Birkalla are the 2 standout clubs, and then there's a big gap to the rest. 10+ goal wins to the top teams almost weekly is absolutely ridiculous for what is technically regarded as an ...

Re: W league player rule
I think we should be welcoming the players back to the club of their choice. Not socially engineered by FSA rules that determines when a club meets its W League quota. Generally a home grown player can return to their club/ City over the years have had a decent W league quota and that most were ...

Round of 32 played over the weekend. 3 State League clubs played WNPL/WNPL Reserves opposition and beaten quite convincingly.
