Kane was not offside. He should have been cautioned, however, for diving.

I only felt threatened once. At the end of the game, I asked the club marshals to escort me from the field of play.

Some interesting thoughts on referees from Brian Clough:

Referees are human aren't they?? If they are humans do make mistakes. Referees need to realise they get it wrong sometimes and stop being so precious This issue has shiraz all to do with "human error". The Ref changed the match sheet after it was signed by him and team officials, ALLEGEDL...

Some common sense suggestions in this thread. You may be surprised to know, however, that Refs are instructed to do most if these things. For example, use field markings to estimate 10 yards. Of course, many are klutzes.

No referee is going to act on this stuff through fear for their own safety, therefore they will continue to be filthy. Don't be surprised if we have another Seaford vs Maiwand type incident before the end of the year! These guys are total maniacs and I would caution anyone to be careful! I did one ...

Re: Interchange for Ressies (or B teams)

No to interchange.

I'm pretty sure the only reason it's allowed in the SAASL is becuase the Laws can be modified by competition organisers but for Juniors, Women and Over 35's only.

We need to get Costa to send a text message to 5RPH and IFAB asking for a change to the Laws.

Yes to Thirds (C grade) cup.
