Re: CUFC JUNIOR COACHES 2015
Cumberland always have to copy other ideas from other clubs, and say it is their own. Will they be as successful as the Adelaide City team this year . Time will tell. What constitutes success in your eyes? I don't think Cumberland are copying AC, I have watched the current Gold u10 group that Chris ...

Re: Southern club options
Hi Soccer_2015 I have some experience and knowledge of four of the five clubs in the south. Currently SA Panthers are probably the best placed to develop very young footballers (6-10) year olds. The club has some good coaches supporting that age group, they also have the PASS academy which is run by ...

Re: C License
The C licence is a significant step up from the junior courses but if you are serious about wanting to understand how to coach junior soccer players to be technically competent and develop players with the right habits then it's a must.

Re: Huge Scorelines
I was involved in a huge scoreline over the weekend ...changed the team as much as possible, brought my keeper on etc.. even offered to play with 9 or 10 players but ref wouldn't allow it ....was happy to cap it but ref wouldnt do it either. i like sporting pulse capped it at 8. not a good thing to ...

Re: Henley Heat Seeking U13 JSL players for season 2014
Totally Agree - for example Cobras u13 JPL still requires 5-6 players to fill a team but if sides like this are accepted it makes it harder for everyone ! What I don't understand is that clubs have not yet nominated their Junior Teams for 2014, and until they do then the FFSA has not formally ...

Sturt Lion is an option but from where you are there are a number of FFSA, SAASL or collegiate clubs within 15 minutes. Have a look on the SAASL website for contacts and grounds and the collegiate league which is listed on the FFSA website.

Re: Which club told their kids not too wear club guernsey
Osgood Schlatters isn't a common occurrence at 10/11 its normally 13 to 15 years old, it's very painful can impinge on sporting involvement for about 18 months and in the worst cases requires an operation to resolve. 10 to 11yrs old is one of the more stable periods of a boys development both ...

If you want to be involved in womens soccer look at Marion ( Sturt Road ) or the Pink Panthers at Christies Beach or if you want a mixed junior soccer team I would suggest Cove (Lonsdale Road) or SA Panthers (Christies Beach). Both of these clubs have good coaching and a program for developing young ...

I believe Danny is involved with Metro Stars seniors in some capacity and runs his PASS academy from St Clair Oval. Terry is having a break from soccer I think he spends a lot of time golfing with his boys.Željko Jurin wrote:What's happened to Danny Greystone and Terry Eadie ?

Re: To Barca or not to Barca - that is the question.
I like this question but as a Senior coach option 1 every time. Technique is something that can be constantly worked on and improved and as it improves you can adapt your team formation and style to become more competitive. My experience as a player and coach / manager with adults is that behaviours ...

Re: player developement?
Keren, I think you need to read your post very carefully. It is not a reasonable club decision to drop players down age groups to secure a win or stop a side sliding to the foot of the table. your club, whoever they are (doesn't matter) made the decision to play these boys in a higher age group for ...

Re: U11s to u12s
The FFSA aren't interested in the best v the best in U11 because their emphasis is development, so anything that involves grading is condoned. We all know young players develop at different rates and therefore the challenges they need to be set varies and therefore grading can be beneficial to all ...

Re: developing young football talent

Are the ridiculous soccer club fees the reason why parents aren't choosing to register their kids? I don't believe numbers are dwindling overall, if you look at the number of teams in ...

Re: Once registered can you change clubs
Yes you can register for another club but I believe there is a transfer process to complete and a waiting period (7 days i think) As far as rebates go I think that will be you negotiating with the club as to how much isn't tied up in kit and FFSA registration costs. Their arguement will be they ...

Chris, If you are serious about developing as a coach I may have an opportunity for you. Re: How's this for junior fees!
South Melbourne have set themselves up to be the next club to receive an A league franchise. They have spent millions on their ground and this is one of the ways they are funding it. $3200 is just the tip of the iceberg.. I know of two kids who moved to Melbourne to do this but that program has ...

Where has this rumour started from? This would be a change from previous years policy, Top 10 teams from 2012 (3 * South, North and Central + best 4th place)+ skilleroo U14 girls. This is either a decision that 18 games isn't a long enough competition for JPL 'A' or somebody stirring because Metro ...

On the basis the only 13A team that is trialling for the first time on Sunday is WT Birkalla and they are having an internal trial only I will take an educated guess that this mystery team is Birkalla.

if tis done like last year it will be top 3 from each division plus the best 4th placed record, which this year would be Enfield from the north division, so Metro Stars and Cove would miss out.

Re: England adopts Small Sided Football for youth developmen
I coached both professional academy, skills soccer schools and senior / junior soccer clubs in England prior to moving here in 2009 and the FA implemented SSF into Junior soccer in the early 2000's when Brooking and Wilkinson became the main development men at the FA. Up to 11 years of age they play ...
