I was a neutral observer to this one 'cos I was expecting a good match and I live nearby, but I didn't expect the end result. Technically, the referee is part of the equation here. Also, just because players run onto the pitch - it doesn't mean their intention is to throw more punches etc. Subs on the bench/spectators have no right to enter the field when a game is in play, and should not need to. So you wouldn't help your team mate if he was being kicked or punched in the ...
