Could've taken the Salisbury bit of the Name instead!! Something like the Salisbury Mods??? Might've gone down well with some of the Old Boys there.

Re: 2018 League Champions
Probably find that most clubs the Mod Jets beat comprehensively were playing unregistered players. Don't think those beaten teams were seeking an advantage. As mentioned its a social league above all in my opinion and putting a team out is what is important. As is giving a few guys a taste of ...

Re: Over 35's 2018 Mega Thread
Cheers For posting them Htfac. Sounds like there are a few leagues that are having numbers change at the death and a few fixtures are still getting sorted. You would think they need to have a stronger cut off date moving forward. So who are the teams that pulled out late of the 35’s? Vista? Para H ...

Re: Over 35's 2018 Mega Thread
At this stage I believe fixtures are still a work in progress due to clubs not able to confirm having a +35s team and hence don't know if its a 14, 13, 12 or 11 team league. Ive heard variations of all 4 so far. Added to this is that clubs are requesting that +35s games try and follow their 1st team ...

SAASL and Collegiate
I wonder if some of those clubs that left SAASL to join the Collegiate League would be interested in moving back now that the SAASL has re-affiliated? Dont know what influenced the moves in the first instance. I've never watched a game of Collegiate league so have no idea of the difference? Nor do I ...

Re: SAASL Affiliation to the FFA/FFSA
Its an affiliation, not a take over. Nothing will intrinsically change. FFSA will just get the numbers to enter more teams into the FFA Cup in the first instance. Hopefully the SAASL will get a representative on the FFSA board. Either way the SAASL is an Incorporated body and nothing will change to ...

Re: on the grape vine
Will there be much change to SAASL or E&D if they affiliate? I don't think much will change as both will still probably be run as independent competitions. So they should be as they both address a different part of the football market than the FFSA and neither would benefit from being run by the ...

Its a circle. Players move to "bigger" clubs to test themselves. Fringe 1st and reserve players from "bigger" clubs move to "smaller" clubs when they see an opportunity to play 1st team.
