looks like the A' League is not the only code inflicted by match-fixing
looks like the UMPies did it again....

Credit to your Bombers, they have been a huge surprise thus far. Can they win a final?!Bomber wrote: ↑Mon May 20, 2024 8:43 amStill early days, but still ok with that bold prediction?Animosity wrote: ↑Wed Feb 14, 2024 11:25 amBombers ain’t getting near that top 8Bomber wrote: ↑Tue Feb 13, 2024 1:46 pm Ladder:

Who knows, the longer we wait, the closer it will become, bit like Kilburn.Animosity wrote: ↑Mon May 20, 2024 11:10 amCredit to your Bombers, they have been a huge surprise thus far. Re: AFL 2024
Is there any other sporting body that changes the rules midway of a season? Then, each year they go and change more rules, to stop scrimmages, yet coaches find ways to circumvent, then blame the AFL for the way the game is going. What a mess.

No wonder the umpires are having a hard time and struggle to keep up with the changesPopeye Magoo wrote: ↑Wed Jun 05, 2024 2:45 pm Is there any other sporting body that changes the rules midway of a season? Re: AFL 2024
Was hard to watch the umpiring Bombers v Suns on Sunday (not blaming them for the loss), but they need to look at one rule that was puzzling and critical in the latter stages of a close game and only 5 points in it at the time - the 50m penalty against when player pinged for holding the ball gets up and hands it back to the closest Suns player, who he thought tackled him, but it happened to be a different player. Bang! 50 metres! Way too harsh in the scheme of things.Cooper wrote: ↑Wed Jun 05, 2024 4:22 pmNo wonder the umpires are having a hard time and struggle to keep up with the changesPopeye Magoo wrote: ↑Wed Jun 05, 2024 2:45 pm Is there any other sporting body that changes the rules midway of a season? Re: AFL 2024
Yeah there needs to be some discretion for the time wasting rule and that is a good case for it. Sometimes the player has no idea who laid the tackle and takes a best guess at who has earned the freeBomber wrote: ↑Thu Jun 06, 2024 9:31 amWas hard to watch the umpiring Bombers v Suns on Sunday (not blaming them for the loss), but they need to look at one rule that was puzzling and critical in the latter stages of a close game and only 5 points in it at the time - the 50m penalty against when player pinged for holding the ball gets up and hands it back to the closest Suns player, who he thought tackled him, but it happened to be a different player. I now understand the principle of being able to both love and hate your own team at the same time.

Re: AFL 2024
Carlton, the lows and highs all in one day. Be funny if somehow Carlton were to meet Port during finals and beat them.

I think Port and Carlton can only meet in the Prelim Final.Popeye Magoo wrote: ↑Mon Aug 26, 2024 12:03 pm Carlton, the lows and highs all in one day. Be funny if somehow Carlton were to meet Port during finals and beat them.
Although I don't like the week off before finals, it will allow some injured Blues players time to recover.

Re: AFL 2024
You’ve got a point, Cooper’s sparkling ale.
I’ve never been to an AFL game, but there it is! Wall-to-wall in my face on TV and in printed & electronic media every single day.
And so I noticed the Camry Crows slid from 10th in 2023 to 15th in 2024, which shows they are slowly improving (not) with their “rebuild”. Any law in giving my opinion on da “foottee”?
