Unlucky?? Yeah not to concede more than 1. Ur keeper pulled off at least 3-4 saves!
We hit the crossbar and wasted chances.
Our keeper touched the ball 3-4 times max all game!

In the b's
Hawks 1 - 2 Adelaide Villa

Iggies v Stirling

A's 1-0
B's 6-0
C's 0-5

A grade: both sides hit the woodwork in the first half with neither side gaining control. Stirling looking slightly the better side towards the end of the half. 0-0. Second half pretty even again early. Iggies eventually getting on top, hitting the woodwork twice before scoring with about 15 to go. Stirling pushed for an equaliser and went close, but Iggies used their experience to play out the time well.

Brooksy played defensive midfielder? For about 20-30 minutes yes... the rest of the time he was well and truly standing next to me... and I'm pretty sure I played centre back all game :)
Either way, he did set up 2 goals indeed... first ARBE goal from came from a Brooksy free kick outside the box, keeper saved into the path of an oncoming ARBE player.
ARBE second goal, cross that sailed over the keeper in to back of net. One in a hundred chance but that's football.
Vipers pegged one back soon after... again one in a hundred goal... smacked from almost half way and sailed over the keeper off the crossbar into the goal.
The ARBE third goal came late in the game, Brooksy with almost an instinctive flick / switch to find a free player on the other side and a good finish.
Good clean game... can't recall a single bad challenge from either side. Two yellows for ARBE, one especially silly / memorable...
About 3-4 video cameras around the pitch and Alex Chichanowski in attendance though. 8)

I do have to add that Brooksy is a massive asset to ARBE... always yelling out positive advice, feedback... setting up positioning around him and in defence...
And obviously, also as a player.
Good pickup!

I did say in the end....when they had that chance in extra time with the last kick to win but missed...hawks also hit the cross bar and had more possession in the end probly a fair result...

Southern Breakers vs Adelaide Uni

A's 4 - 1
B's 3 - 2

Great game in B's as Adelaide Uni won 9 - 0 against us last time.
Thanks to Adelaide for playing both games with a total squad of 15. Should squash any comments about unwillingness to play in uni hols.
You guys must be fit. It was a heavy pitch out there today

Good day out for the Titans with all four grades winning for the first time this year. Hard tough in the contest the seniors as it was in all the grades.

Have to thank the Jets for their hospitality after the game. Good Luck to Moggsy and the lads for the rest of the year.

Div 5 result Titans 2 - Flinders 1

How's the guy that came off with the head injury? It was a solid 50/50 tackle.

Saints 1 - Sturt 2
I popped out to watch most of this one.

The game was slightly disappointing to be honest with a lack of fluencey. Sturt were the better team for sure, but the quality from both was not really what I expected. Only brief passages of nice play.
Sturt were in control of the game at 1-0 and then a keeper howler let saints back in to make it 1-1. Sturt would have felt hard done by going in to the break even. There were some nice patches from the sturt midfield, saints really lacked any cohesion.
Second half and sturts midfield became non existant. Neither team could take control of the game and it was going to come down to a bit of quality or a mistake to get another goal. I dont really know how the sturt keeper stayed on the field after taking out a saints striker clear through on goal, which he surely would have scored. The resulting free kick came to nothing for saints, so harsh really. With about 20 to go, Sturt did end up having their left back sent off, with saints Tim causing him havoc all game with his pace. Sturt did manage to break the dead lock with 10 to go and hung on for a solid win.
Sturt will be very happy to take home the points when they really should have killed off saints in the first half.

I think on seeing that, Downs will tear saints apart. Saints lack in the center mid and nath day could have a field day. Their CB could do ok on trimmers, but i can just see the downs over running a timmid saints outfit. It will be interesting to see if they can rise to the occasion.

No offense but you're joking surely. In the a's, monarchs dominated and should have scored more. In the bs, it was 50-50.
