Carbone was a masterclass today and in the end the difference between the two teams.

The nonchalant flick to Petrovski was a highlight for the 3rd goal. Surely they will keep him the whole season.

Benito Carbone played absolutely brilliant against Adelaide, his flick up to Petrovski was class. His goal also took a great swing into the back of the net. Overall in my opinion he was the man of the match. He will inflict punishment on all A-League clubs.

What a brilliant footballer this man is - I have not seen a more damaging player in this league. It would have been brilliant to have him play for us.

it is a bit hard to put the players side by side as romario has easily a better resume but what a gun carbone was . i knew he was small but never that small . its always the tiny ones at that level you have to watch out for because they get there on pace and bloody great dribbling skills . he is crazy . great player to watch . only wish we had him !
only hope romario has the same imoact on us

have to agree Carbone was brilliant today and a deligh to watch well worth the money just to watch him play. Better than Yorke in my opinion. He creates so much, he runs he tackles. He is fantastic for the A-League hope he signs for the rest of the year!!!! :D
He killed adelaide today and they couldn't contain him, the two balls he gave for those goals were brilliant!
Would love to see a player like that sign for united cos they need a creative player!

Worth paying the admission price just to see him. It was a pleasure to watch him play. He is a great example for younger players. He covered a lot of ground and never stopped running.

Will be more effective for Sydney than Yorke in my opinion.

One of the things I noticed about him repeatedly was his urging his teammates to calm down when they had the ball and not rush things, it happened a lot throughout the game, that experience will rub off on the players around him, whether he stays the whole season or not.

he's worth every cent they're paying him. He was more effective last night than Dwight Yorke was in a whole season.
without Carbone that game could've gone either way, but he made it his own and made the Adelaide defence look second rate at times.

absolute quality from the small man...looked very lively throughout the whole game without dropping pace. very good touches and the ball and that flick for the 3rd goal was just shear class and good awareness. well done to sydney on a quality signing. hopefully romario has the same effect on adelaide as carbone has on sydney at the moment.

So true, Dwight seemed like he was here for a good time and loved the spotlight where as Benito has come to play... and can he play...

I think Romario will have no where near the same impact, first off, he's 40... although Benito is 35, he has still kept plying his trade in half decent leagues and keeping match fit... where as Romario has been tapping in goals for a second division team in the U.S, looks unfit and has an attitude problem that will no doubt stretch Kosmin'as patinece from day 1... I for one obvisouly hope Romario does well, but honestly dnt see it happening
