good line by Slater "lending the ball"

both these teams on a completely different level to Australia
this is what a lot of the rugby followers dont understand, they think because Australia achieves a 0-0 or a narrow win against one of these teams that we're somehow superior and they beat their chests and unfurl banners such as "Nippon forever in our shadow"

but thats the nature of football

clearly you have missed the point
the Socceroos are a chance in this match because of the nature of the game, but they simply cannot play the level of football that the Japanese produce
either Carney or Valeri will stunt any passing sequence with a poor touch or a soft turnover

we all miss the point your too smart for us

Just a brief summary of some of your quotes

Australia will struggle to get out of the group stages
The Uzbeks are far better in every department
Holger - the clock is ticking
The crowds in Qatar have been good

And now we 'can't play to the level of Japan"

Although you give yourself a nice 'out' by saying 'we are a chance due to the nature of the game"

Just in case we win and you can then say you said we were a chance

Last time I looked if you beat a team you win

Despite the fact all the team we play are 'at a higher level' and we have a poor coach

We won the group
Remain unbeaten
Won the semi final 6-0 against a 'far superior' side
And now even in your own words have a chance in the final

Sucked in

Shit I just fed the troll

You forgot to mention that we have only conceded one goal in the entire tournament.

unlikely
with the number of long balls the Socceroos pump forward there's bound to be a few offside errors as no linesman has the required visual periphery
