That would be a joke. Plympton have finished closer to relegation than promotion in the last 3 years and would still get promoted every year? So from div 5 to div 2 by finishing mid table every year...

maybe they don't know themselves yet . i'd say the league doesn't need to know about next year for a while yet.

I'd seriously fancy Vista's chances of getting promoted from that Div 2!!!

The SAASL will only know once teams enter their registration forms for next season. Until then, everything is rumour and innuendo (such as below :D ):

- The only thing I have heard concerning Adelaide Villa is they are unhappy at Metro, but its too be expected in their first year there.

- NAB are seriously considering putting in one amateur team only, there ending up in Div 7

- Royal Park will give themselves as long as possible before folding - I don't think money is the problem, its purely the number of players.

It will be interesting to see how Pumas and San Marco fare next year, as I know they were struggling for players late in the year. Pumas are definitely interested in moving to a new ground.

Spoke with the SAASL last night and they have only received expressions of interest from two clubs in regard to moving from Sun to Sat.

Not sure, they were a bit coy, but I think one of the teams @ Grange (Limnos???) and another.

I had made the point that the rumour was that a few teams were looking to make the switch and the response was that only two teams had made any moves to do so.

Wanderers moved from Collegiate League this year and had to fight to end up in Sat Div 2, which with all modesty, we dominated.

If, as suggested, a couple of Sunday teams come across plus the best couple of Collegiate teams (Mercedes, Rostrevor or Pembroke) which the SAASL are in talks with it would make for an interesting situation.

Both Div 1 and Div 2 would increase in size, which I don’t think would happen. Extra teams would be relegated, which would be unfair. Or Div 3 would have 3 or 4 teams that would be well above the standard of the others, no disrespect to the teams there presently.

What ever happens, the level of Saturday Amateurs imo will soon surpass Sundays, if it hasn't already.

I'm waiting for the barrage from Sunday players, but from what I have seen this year (mainly Sun Div 2 for both days) the better Saturday teams are at least as good as their Sunday counterparts. Not withstanding club loyalty, where mates play etc. given the fact that the younger players coming up prefer to play Saturday, so they can go out Saturday night and the older players coming back from Super/Premier/State League prefer Saturdays cos that is what they are used to... It's only a matter of time.

This is getting a bit out of hand if u ask me, is it really fair 4 clubs to just announce that they are moving to saturday right at the end of the season.
I think this makes it difficult for the competitions that the teams leave. Perhaps there should be a waiting list for 1 or 2 seasons.
And if by chance an honest man such as yourself should make enemies then they would become my enemies, and then they would fear you

The SAASL have been in talks with the collegiate league forever and a day, so it will be interesting to see what happens with Mercedes, ROCS etc. One of the reasons these clubs like playing collegiate league is the distance to travel... the longest trip is probably ROCS to Mercedes!

NAB - heard on the grapevine that they will only field an over 35's side next year and focus on the State League.

Adelaide Villa - going to Saturday Div 3 as long as they can have First Team and Reserves

Limnos - folding

Royal Park - surviving from all accounts
