USC LION are looking for more players. If you are interested please call Steve on 82666337/0402333084.

We train on Tuesdays and Fridays from 6:30pm at GRANGE RESERVE, CNR MILITARY RD/TRIMMER on the Oval closest to the change rooms. If you cant get in contact with Steve...then just turn up and introduce yourself.

USC Lions C's 0-4 Elizzy Vale C's

USC Lions B's 4-3 Elizzy Vale B's

USC Lions A's 1-4 Elizzy Vales A's

A's were outplayed in first half but it could of easily been 1-1 but ball was cleared of the line. Then Vale took the ball the length of the field to make it 2-0. Fitness played a key, USC Lions only had 7 players that have been to training. Take nothing away from Vale though who deserved the win.

I'm surprised your A's lost, PHW seem to be your bogey team

INTER V NAB

Post by GhostofChico »

Ressies:
Inter 3 - 0 NAB
Good game, Inter should've had at least 3 more but some poor finishing let them down. Very fair game played in good spirits, all credit to NAB who kept trying to push forward and create something but seemed a little outclassed.

1st:
Inter 1 - 0 NAB (Half time score)
On the first half performance i have to say the young guns at Inter looked spritely with J Leikas scoring in the first half to put them ahead. But it was the old guard in the middle of the park that were hard to handle. If anyone has the final score please post...

Florina to beat Vale!? you are joking! You're talking about team that is 2nd on table v one that's stuck in the bottom half! Will need a major reversal in form...would be a HUGE upset!

ELIZABETH DOWNS vs USC LIONS

A's 5-1
B's 0-0 (I think)
C's 4-0

In the A's, Elizabeth Downs were too classy on the day and deserved to win. The game had a tough opening, untill Downs crafted a nice goal to make it 1-0 afterafter 15mins. Not long later it was 2-0 and after an absolute gift it was 3-0. After a tough 25 mins we were shell shocked. Lions then nicked a goal back after a mix up in the Downs defence (3-1). Only to give a headed goal away which the keeper admittedly should of claimed, 4-1 at halftime. In the second half there were a few fireworks resulting in a player from both sides being sent off. The incident looked like it would sour the game, but both sets of players settled and the game was played out in pretty good spirit. I missed a glorius opportunity to make it 4-2 when I was left unmarked 6 yards out, but somehow sprayed my shot wide arggghhhhhhh. Soon after Downs made it 5-1 with the goal of the game, the downs player with a nice run and great finish to match (into the top corner from 20yards). All in all, Downs were a quality outfit and bossed much of the play, but some mindless errors and poor finishing resulted in a 5-1 scoreline.
We took alot of positives away after only losing the 2nd half 1-0(should of been 1-1) and look forward to facing INTER in a fortnights time.

weren't far off it

he got the brace, first one from the spot

florina had 2 men sent off, both dubious decisions

vales 4th goal was comical to say the least, bounced over the keepers head

2 losses 4 florina... obviously not the start they were looking for!

are they around the mark? or the jump from div 2 to 1 bigger than expected?
